For Spain he is probably too direct but his will to run tirelessly and he is quick. Not sure if he will play too much in the World Cup. He should make the squad though.

The guy is a pure a Mourinho player than anyone. If we get a new LB in the Summer then he still needs to be in the starting XI. That'll obviously be at the expense of Branna which is hard because he hasn't put a foot wrong - but Dave is that good IMO.

One of our best players this season, despite being played out of position for most of it.

 

How much did pay for him, £7m? We've made some howlers over the years but we do get it right from time to time.

He's doing a fantastic job there but he's obviously better on the right in an attacking sense.  Problem for him is we have Ivan.  Shaw also reportedly wants to come here and he's a great prospect and English for the squad requirements.

JT is one half (the stronger half) of the best central partnership in the premiership at the moment so I'd say JM certainly has it right, not Rafa and Mour has been totally justified in restoring Terry.

How long can JT go on for, as his game never relied on speed but more his superior reading of the game and positional sense I'd think he's got at least another couple of seasons left.

I would say Terry can go on for a very long time. Look at Distin at Everton, he is pretty similar to JT, lacks pace, but reads the game brilliantly, and he is nearly 36. If Distin can play that long then i am sure JT can.

Remember last season one of our pacy wingers came on around the 80 minute mark, and Distin defeated him in a sprint.

Thought he had a rare poor performance last night,still im sure he will have Navas in his pocket again come this weekend.

Agreed, Distin is an excellent centre back, one of the most underrated players in the division in my opinion.

Bumping this with him being last night's silver lining. When you factor in potential, I wouldn't swap him for any full back in the world other than Lahm.
