Lahm, Alba, Zabaleta, Alaba and Felipe Luis are all better than him. Not to say he couldnt go on to be one of the best in the world, but at the minute he isnt quite at that level

Alba is dreadful defensively, Zabaleta has not been at the same level he was at last season and Alaba isn't that great defending and going forward he isn't that great. Azpilicueta is better than all of these defensively and i think he is very good going forward too. I would rather have my defenders defending first, attacking second. Lahm is world class though, defending and going forward.

 

You seem to be discounting defending completely when it comes to what makes a full back good.

 

I haven't seen much of Felipe Luis so i can't comment on him.

Id rather have Azpi than Zabaleta or Alba, without a shadow of a doubt.

Alba rarely gets tested defensively because of how barca play, but he's not dreadful by any stretch. I'm not discounting defending, but a full back needs to be able to attack as well. Part of the reason that we get stuck against teams who park the bus is that our fullbacks don't add any width and stretch the game. When Azpilicueta (hopefully) gets moved back to his natural position next season then i can see him blossoming into a truly world class full back, it's just my opinion that he's not quite there at the moment

 

Felipe Luis is criminally underrated, my personal favourite left back in the the world. He's finally getting some recognition now though, a nasty leg break stalled his progress when he was younger

Congratulating a mans fertility should be a more regular thing. After all, none of us know until it happens. We might be shooting more blanks than Torres.

Best LB in the prem this season, he should get in the team of the year.

Hazard will get POTY but I'd give it to Dave.

Or Cahill.
