There was never a game where I would say at the end of it that Azpi didn't put everything into it. He gave everything for us and he is the standard of commitment we should expect from any player that puts on a Chelsea shirt. At his best, he was the best 1v1 defender in the league, at his worst, he still gave everything and refused to make things easy for the opposition. Top player, top character and one of my favourite Chelsea players.

What a great servant of our club, had to play LB for ages as well, always passionate.

But now Social media is in uproar about him " speaking with a foreign accent " even though he's spent years here .

Just can't win no matter what.

Two legends gone Kante and now Dave. In terms of consistency of performance, work rate and attitude absolutely irreplaceable. Sets the benchmark for all the young players in our squad.

I love this man like he is my own family 🤣. I personally think Pochettino should have kept him around the squad, even though I accept his best is well behind him. I really hope he comes back as a coach of some sort after he is done playing. Just a gem of a man and a player.

Could easily have done another couple of seasons and he wouldn't have been past it/stayed too long. Proof of that is where he is going next. He is a genuine LEGEND.

A true club legend in the class of JT, Lampard, Drogba etc. His versatility is amazing, left nothing behind everytime he's on the field for us. He's an under rated captain because he's less vocal on the field, but hell his record proves he's one of the best.

This is a great move for him and his family, although I do wonder who's going to wear the captain's arm band and be the leader of the group. We have offloaded huge amount of experience in 1 single transfer window.
