May 21, 20188 yr I think people have been publicly executed for less offense than that. Hopefully just an angle to get more cents on his new contract, which he is totally signing. Right?

May 21, 20188 yr The way I see it is that for Eden to stay we need to appoint a manager who will assure a more attacking philosophy and for the club to spend significant sums on new more talented players for the new guy to hit the ground running. If we fail to do that and we don't do it soon enough (ie not on the eve of the first game) he will surely start making his move and if recent seasons are an indicator and the new stadium has any impact, that won't happen. Of course, we could refuse to let him go but, we all know how well that works out. Then it's a case of the club getting the most money they can and the player agreeing terms. Surely that leaves only three clubs in a position to sign him; PSG, Real Madrid and Man City. They all have the money and the style but PSG are in the wrong league. So that leaves just Real and City. It's a 50/50 but, if Pep does sound him out I imagine he'll want to go there as not many players seem to turn him down.
May 21, 20188 yr Author Hazard seems very loyal, it comes across that he feels like a big part of this club, having spent 6 seasons, and won numerous trophies and accolades. I don't think he would go to another English team, he was very adamadant that he wouldn't sign for psg because of his time at lille, so i dont see why he take a different stance here and push for a move to city. If real Madrid come in with a concrete offer, then i think he will leave, but I don't see that happening, especially with bale having a strong end to the season. I think hazard will stay next season, but whether he signs a new deal or not, will come down to who the manager is, and which players we bring in this summer.
May 21, 20188 yr I don't see Eden going so fast he said he wants to relax now and switch focus on the World Cup and Man City/Real Madrid are trying to get him now before our new manager comes and new signings so I won't trust the rumors.
May 21, 20188 yr Hopefully he doesn't leave for a direct rival like City. However the lure of Pep and their brand of football plus having De Bruyne/Kompany could be a factor. Hopefully we wouldn't be daft enough to sell to an English side. Ideally he will stay but our board need to match his ambition otherwise I won't blame him for going.
May 21, 20188 yr It comes up every year, spend a bit of money and he will stay. Time to get the finger out Chelsea.
May 21, 20188 yr 11 hours ago, Blueblur said: According to the BBC paper gossip today, Pep is making Hazard his number one transfer target, ready to break transfer record to land him for £100m. They could quadruple that amount and i would still rather have the player. You can't put a price on players like Hazard. No matter how much they offer, we wouldn't be able to replace him.
May 21, 20188 yr “We have a lot of top players, players who are used to winning trophies. We will be ready next season,” Hazard told the Evening Standard. ‘I think all of the players and the club want one thing and that’s to win the title. ‘Of course we will see if we can bring in some new players. But we will be focused on winning the title’ Sounds very positive. I think he has grown a deep affection for the club.

I am not so sure.

I'll probably end up with egg on my face, but I just don't get the feeling Eden would move to another English club. It's always been Madrid who he's talked of having dreams of, pissing off to City would seem pretty mercenary.
May 23, 20188 yr I suspect Hazard is tired of playing defensive football and may look for a move if we don't appoint an attacking manager. He over-elaborates sometimes, but I feel he would fare much better under an attacking manager. So far he has played mostly under Mourinho and Conte, both of whom tend to play defensive. I hope we can convince him to stay though.

I don't know why Conte has gone so defensive this season when he was far from it last season. I remember when we went 1-0 up, we didn't just sit and soak up pressure, we pushed on, we looked for a second and a third. We played quite possibly the best performance the Premier League had seen against Everton, hammered United at home from start to finish, and played one of the best counter attacking performance i have seen against City. It's like Conte gave up from day 1 and didn't believe the team could play attacking football anymore.
May 24, 20188 yr I seem to be the only one who is confident of Hazard staying. He loves the club and has already spoke about next season. He also said he and his family are really settled in London. Dont worry guys, Hazard isn’t going anywhere. He’s one of us now.

The first game we were lucky not to be a few goals down before we took the lead.

There's not really many options though, doubt he will go anywhere else in the prem. I would be disappointed if he went to PGS as it shows a lack of ambition, the only move is Real and if they want him then he will likely move.

Conceding so many chances in a game is not evidence of a great counter attacking performance. Off topic: Aguero is a right arse hole. He seems to have it in for Luiz as well.
May 25, 20188 yr So its funny seeing those clips again. some random thoughts: 1. Its laughable when you here Cahill not only justifying his inclusion in the England team, but also inferring that criticism of him has been unfair. Looking at these clips with the World Cup imminent, what a sobering thought. 2. How refreshing it was to see our team attacking with pace and purpose and shooting at goal. Oh those days! 3. Its correct we could have been blown out of the water in this game, thanks to previously mentioned Cahill. 4. Our counter attacking display was helped immeasurably by an absolutely shocking goalkeeping performance at the other end. Bravo just took a knee and watch Willian's effort go past him. 5. Finally whilst I thought moving Costa on was the right idea due to his indiscipline internally and what appeared to be a serial habit of downing tools whenever it suited his mood, God what i'd give to have him here now. Just to see a striker that can lead the line, can hold up play, bully defenders and know where the bl00dy goal is.
May 31, 20188 yr I read here that Zidane quit his job at Real Madrid because of a fight with Florentino Perez, it says that they wanted Hazard but Chelsea wanted Benzema in return, and Zidane wanted the club to back him to sign Hazard without losing Benzema and Perez said that he should let Benzema go, and then Zidane lost it.https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/967533/Zinedine-Zidane-Real-Madrid-quit-Chelsea-transfer-Eden-Hazard-Benzema-rumours-gossip-news There are other rumors that Zidane didn't want to stop giving Ronaldo the priority that was asked from Perez and that he decided to quit and let someone else destroy that team that he won so much with.
