March 1, 20179 yr Signed a 2 year extension to his contract keeping him at the club until 2021, presumably he got himself a pay rise too following establishing himself in the first team. Well done Big Vic. Since joining the club in 2012 he has so far only made 72 appearances for us, 28 of those this season. I'm sure there will be plenty more in the years to come though. Wid Barcelona sniffing around this is a great move he would fit into Barcelona team well as an attacking wingback
March 1, 20179 yr I've always thought he was under-rated, but your simplistic position I find difficult to accept. Formation change A happens, player B is sacrificed to allow that change to occur, therefore player B is sh*te as a winger. We don't get the same sort of fixed view when Hazard or Pedro are taken off for tactical reasons, or when Matic is taken off and Cesc is brought on to change the dynamic. Moses is a good winger, who has been performing very well. An iffy game or two at this stage of the season, and the torches are lit, the pitchforks are sharpened and the villagers are massing. Always was this way, always will be, and it's just the victim of the proposed lynching that changes. Was Matic earlier this season, Mikel had it for years, Hazard is starting to get it from some f**kwits and someone even had a pop at Kante earlier this week. What can I say? Perhaps some measure of success recently has spoilt our fanbase and f**ked up their expectations. After all, we DESERVE, right? If I could like this 100 times I would

March 1, 20179 yr Really pleased for him, and it's so well deserved. I rated him first time round and think he's done a great job this season. Ive got to be honest though, I don't think he'll be a first XI player next season.
March 1, 20179 yr Great news, has made the position his own and been a vital player for us this year. i will say this, it's clear to me why he hasn't really pushed on as an attacking wide player, his ball in to the box can be great and equally frustrating, not consistent enough to be a sole source of creativity outwide, in his current role there is less focus on that element and the fact that he seems to be an all round good footballer who does everything well but nothing brilliantly seems to make him perfect for that role
March 1, 20179 yr Fully deserved that, hope he will continue to improve and raise his football quality. Surprised all of us for good this season.
March 1, 20179 yr He's deserved that extension. He's exceeded expectations this season. I don't think anybody expected him to feature as often as he has. Well done to Conte for giving him a chance and to Moses for adapting so well to a new position.

Ok you think he is a good winger fine, i don't and thats not based on an iffy game or two its based on about 80 games i have seen him in that postion since he signed for Wigan in 2010. March 2, 20179 yr An extension is fine as long as it does not come with an increased salary. He was solid this season, but maybe not quite good enough to start regularly in the long term. I'd still like this position filled with someone else in the summer, to be honest. But again, Moses is a nice one to have in the squad, no doubt. He is probably among the best 10-15 players this season. Edited March 2, 20179 yr by PythonLu

March 2, 20179 yr Some of you keep saying he's not good enough and his position can be filled with someone better. Can the fan's who are of that opinion outline who is better in his position now?

Ie everythings rosy no matter what and no criticism is allowed? Blue Daze is that you? Not sure what a " Kim Jong Un style behavior" is, and I dropped out of the Jose thread some time ago because I got bored with two or three recently joined idiots. I'll leave it there. You might not think he's a good winger, but several professional football managers (you know, people who actually make their living by making decisions on a player's ability) do think so and keep playing him. And I don't believe you when you say " its based on about 80 games i have seen him in". No-one, including you, was complaining about him until he has had a couple of off games. That's all. I don't know who "Ty" is, so can't comment on whether I am your version of him/her. Not everything is rosy, but I am not in your camp, which appears to be that the whole sky is falling in all of the time, whilst we are sitting pretty at the top of the league, and I also find it irritating that, even now, some people can find nothing good to say about their particular, currently disliked player. Bluedaze was a w**ker and a wind-up merchant, pure and simple. He gets identified very quickly every time he opens a new account under a different lame user name. If I was bluedaze, I'd be offering you out at a pub of your choice to sort it out like men, safe in the knowledge that it would never happen, but allowing me to rub my big bollocks to conclusion in my mum's spare bedroom. March 2, 20179 yr Totally deserved extension. Deserved it. Everytime he has played for Chelsea (2012-13 and 2016-17), he has given it his all and looked really good. Well done BIG VIC.
March 2, 20179 yr Really don't understand some of the negative comments surrounding Moses, him and Alonso are fulfiling arguably the most physically demanding role in football. They have to cover the most distance in the team by slotting into a back 5 whilst defending yet provide width and join up with the attack when on the offense. I don't believe any player in the world will be able to give you 8/10 performances week in week out. Due to the physical demands occasionally the end product will suffer and consistency will be an issue however Moses has done admirably and it's because of Moses Pedro and Hazard have been able to make more central and direct runs in order to hurt the opposition. It is a team game and understandably Moses at times has not been able to deliver in the final third but positionally he has helped the team due to opposition's being stretched leaving holes for Costa Hazard and co.

You don't play well and sign a new contract on the same money. He is not stupid I read on the express that it has increased from £45,000 p/w to £75,000 so a big increase but not on the same par as our top earners. Well deserved Edited March 2, 20179 yr by STATS
March 2, 20179 yr He's faded since his barnstorming run in October/November, but overall he has been impressive at WB and deserves his extension. What makes him more potent at WB than as a winger is his spirit, stamina and pace. He is not a natural defender but he has certainly been willing to put in a shift. Basically, he's what we wanted Cuadrado to be. As a winger I agree that he would have been no more than a super-sub to put on against tired legs.

I over-reacted with my response, was having a bad day and took it out on you, everything bar the counter with Moses was out of order, i apologize. But regarding Moses, yes i firmly did not rate him and i said it here a few times at the start of this season. if you go back on this thread to about the time we played Leicester at home i was having an argument with ICHK as he called me out for being "wrong" about Moses, to which then i explained my opinion of him as a winger still stands but i'm liking the look of him as a fullback something i stick by to this day. 5 hours ago, yorkleyblue said: I don't know who "Ty" is, so can't comment on whether I am your version of him/her. Did you see me in the West Ham pre match thread calling someone up for being pessimistic about our next run of games? And i don't dislike any player and have (with the exception of Torres) never grown too while they were wearing our shirt.
March 4, 20179 yr Congratulations to Victor on a contract extension, which is well-deserved. He's set a great example to players on the fringe that persistent hard work and dedication can eventually be rewarded.
