Surprised to see him drop down to the championship but there's rumours that it's mixed in with the coaching setup there so can understand why it might be a good opportunity. 

I actually like Steve Bruce, think he's a really solid coach who will help Terry develop. 

So JT to become Villa manager next year, and Lampard to manage Oxford. Had hoped we'd get those 2 into our own coaching setup somehow. Maybe in the future.

Steve Bruce. 

I think JT has one eye on coaching so I think he'll have a really close relationship with Bruce in possibly his final step before he makes that transition from player to coach

I read that he didn't want to face Chelsea in a league game. If so then that's more class from our Captain Leader Legend!

Respect for JT moving down, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a chat with Andy Townsend who went there too.

I'll be keeping my eye on Villa now to see if there is a JT effect.

If he moves to Villa, i'm going to see if I can find a betting company that gives odds on us playing Villa in a cup. It will happen.

They will, more than likely. It's probably better they manage a lower-league team first and get some experience.

 

I think John has been very clever in choosing the club that most likely to go up as champions so that he can end his career with yet another medal...fancy he'll retire after next year and move into coaching hopefully with Chelsea's academy...all the best to you JT...I'll look out for Villa's results next season...of course, you know that we'll be drawn against Villa in one of the cups next season though...

Feels surreal seeing him at another club, but I wish him all the best at Aston Villa.

I hope to see him back at the club some day in a coaching capacity.

Now watch all those Villa fans who have been talking sh*t about him for years say how brilliant he is and how happy they are to have him. With the way English clubs have talked so much sh*t about him over the years, they should consider themselves incredibly fortunate to have even had the opportunity to sign him.
