The John Terry Appreciation Thread

Featured Replies

Thanks for your skill, timing, balance, distribution & above all leadership of the best kind both on & off the field.

I doubt that I'll see your kind again at this club.

You're the greatest legacy that this club has had over the last 15 years or so & I hope we see you back in another capacity soon.

Enjoy the day because it's all yours.

Thank you again.

i can see it as conte wanting to play him for most of the game, but he decided it would be better to go off at 26th minute and conte agreed. the way that reporter said it makes it sound like nobody gave a sh*t about his send off.

Oh lord. One last stick for the bitters to beat him with before he goes! :face_palm:

Who cares what the BBC and the rest of the bitter twats think though? They just make me laugh, there's been a siege mentality at this club for a while, despite some silly articles in the press stating that Antonio Conte has made our club more respected. I think we all know that we've overtaken United as the most hated club in the premier league, with success comes hatred.

Terry has gotten most of the stick, as the face of the club, a premier league legend, people couldn't give respect to today, makes a mockery of football.

 f**k em all.

bit odd

w**kers. Sums up BBC Sport in recent years. They used to be good, but now look at them, looking for controversy where there isn't any. Did you see the Sunderland players moaning? they understood and they were fine with.

Football must be the only sport where people would complain about this. It really is lacking sportsmanship. Compare it to Cricket and you will see what i mean. If a player get's 100 runs, everybody congratulates the player, even the opposition. When legends retire, they are given a standing ovation. Do that in football and miserable pricks come out and moan.

Exactly

conte: I would like you to play the game

terry: that is amazing conte, but I think we need to get our first XI in the fa cup playing together

conte: well what do you suggest

terry: how about I come off in the 26th minute? Then the rest of the team can play together. I would also like to give Cahill the armband personally to show my respect to him.

I wouldnt be surprised, considering the obvious relationship that terry has with conte if that is what happened. Doesn't make a funny headline though.

I even saw a comment that said Sunderland had agreed to put the ball out for a throw on 26 minutes so the substiution could be made.

BBC are just a bunch of arsewipes these days. The day their licence fee funding gets pulled can't come early enough for me ...

We've had it good with JT, the initial feelings that he would leave Chelsea was all the way back in 2013, but he kept going and we got more time with him than expected.

Last thing for him to do is to lift the FA Cup at Wembley and parade the double.
