Andreas Christensen

I will be honest a few years back I thought Andreas was well overrated, I didn't see what all the fuss was about, but the last couple of years he has come into his own,and I take my hat of to a fantastic defender.

I always knew he had the ability, it was the physical and mental side I always questioned. Physically he isn't much stronger, but in a 3 at the back formation, he can get away with it, mentally he seems a lot better though. He doesn't seem to get rattled as easily as before.

He just gets better and better.  Silva must have leant him his book as Andreas reads the game much better.  Winning so many heads also, which is not easy against Kane.  Beyond that, he is much more confident on the ball, stepping out and turning attackers.  Hope he resigns and is a mainstay for me in a back 3.

Interesting Tuchel talked about his mentality and physicality post match.. something all of us have identified as why we used to feel him to be light weight for EPL. I think he has improved massively in that area.. over the last few months.. this isnt the first time we are playing 3 at the back Lamps played him too in a 3 and we would still be no good at it..

It's unbelievable how good he's looked since Tuchel came in. Reminds me of prime Ferdinand in the way he plays.

Especially against tough teams I also believe Christensen - Silva - Rudiger is our best back three. They have all been immense for a long time now.

Our silent hero in the first half, Toney barely had a sniff.

I thought he was very good last night. Showed a lot of maturity and took on a lot of responsibility with two fairly inexperienced players either side of him.

He was excellent last night, just shows what 12 months can do for a players career. I would happily have shown him the door.  He's showing an abundance of confidence in his own ability now, the centre of the back three certainly suits him.
