Conte will go to a top team and will win trophies. We will have problem, first to get top manager, and then to win something with that board....

It`s also Conte fault the same thing happen with Jose. And before that with Ancelotti. Carlo Ancelotti said by himself in the second season the same thing. That he is just a coach here, not a manager, a coach.

And he get zero word for transfers.

Could it not be that conte has said a lot of those things to protect himself and excuse his own failings? It's not as if the club would ever release a statement saying otherwise. 

I agree conte has not been given the best group of players to work with, and I also don't think that finishing 5th with this squad is that big of an underacheivment. 

I don't for 1 second believe that conte hasn't signed off on most of the signings though, he may not have picked them, but I'm sure he agreed with most of them. 

Losing matic is the only thing I think he has real grounds to complain about, especially to United, and especially without getting an adequate replacement in. 

He definately pushed costa out, with Atlético's ban in place, we could've easily kept costa for another season, and gave morata time to bed in, but he dealt with it horribly. 

With conte's history in terms of being at loggerhead with previous boards, this was a match that was destined to end bitterly. At least we got a title out of it before it all went sour. 

This thread seems to be one endless circle of the board didn't back him/ he wants to put up and shut up etc etc etc etc.....

My own humble opinion is that he wanted out/ was approached a very long while back, and that this miserablist charade of has been choreographed to elicit sympathy for his plight. ( how sorry are we supposed to feel for a bloke on a multi million pound salary and his future employment prospects rosy)

I don't think the negative comments here reflect the view of most fans. At the matches his name is sung regularly. In my opinion he puts in an honest days work. What happens in the future is of minimal interest right now so I'm going to keep supporting him as long as he's here.

Sandro was a first team player at a top club. How many first team players do you see being sold byour top clubs? Especially considering he showed zero interest in moving.

Vidal was the same situation as Sandro. No way we get him as he was Bayerns best midfielder last year. 

Belotti was a one season wonder with a £90m price tag slapped on him (Owner came out and said it). Proof being he is not even in double figures this season.

Lukaku is a lumbering oaf that lacks technical ability. Proven goalscorer but little else for Everton. 

Bonucci is well known that he does not want to leave Italy. Waste of time even trying.

Morata hadn't had a single season as as first choice striker and only had one season where he scored more then double digits. Was just as likely to fail as he was to succeed.

 Bakayoko had a good 6 months and was largely accepted as the worst player in the Monaco first team. Many knowledgeable fans of the French League said he was sh*t.

Squad player for Leicester. Leicester are a mid table side despite their freak season.

 Barkley was living off hype from 3 years a go and hadn't progressed at all. Was a decent player for a mid table side.

Zappacosta was floating around in mid table of Serie A with zero big clubs sniffing around.

Danilo was shown to be absolutely crap at Real Madrid and clearly not up to La Liga level. Awful player.

Candreva is average Italian winger who would've been shoved in the wing back role.

Lorrente. sh*t in every metric.

Nainggolan stated he never wanted to leave Roma. I doubt we had any chance of signing him no matter how much people believed we could (Just like Man Utd couldn't make him budge).

Chamberlain is crap and also refused to sign on to play as a wing back. Wasn't happening.

 

Whether Conte chose some or the club chose some, the players targeted were either not near Chelsea level or unrealistic to the extreme. In my opinion both the club and Conte are completely sh*t at identifying targets. 

Underrated post. You hit the nail on the head here on most of them, I thought Barkley was signed for obvious reasons. DD wasn't necessarily a squad player, he was always next to Kante and Inler struggled to break into the side when DD was playing.

If we are to be cutting back on spending because of the stadium we definitely need stability in regards to the manager, because as mentioned by coco, we don't have the same players as in the past. Unfortunately this current squad has "no balls" so to speak, when you compare to it the 07/08 squad under Avram. I just hope we get a less pragmatic manager.

the team lacks leaders, no doubt. when you think back to the likes of Michael Ballack, Essien, JT, Didier, Frank, etc and compare that to the current squad it'd make you weep.

Vialli, who played with Conte at Juventus, claims the Blues boss is fed up with not being consulted about the club's transfer policy and wants to leave at the end of the season.

Despite this season's tensions over, Sportsmail understands the Blues hierarchy have no intention of relinquishing any control over their transfer policy when, as expected, a new boss is appointed ahead of next season.

Conte has had a number of public and private spats with the Chelsea hierarchy about transfer incomings; the Italian frustrated at his lack of power regarding which players the club sign.

And former Blues hero Vialli, who has maintained a relationship with Conte, says his countryman is desperate to leave Stamford Bridge.

BTW, Conte not for once go out there and said this and this player is the fault we lose this game. Mourinho did this plenty of time. Conte always defend his player and always took the blame. His fight was with the board. He was trying to fight with them and get power of transfer, that is all. And if you see, his "crying" about transfers was in the summer, before winter and in the winter windows, to push the board to get the quality player he said.

Last season after the lose to Arsenal he said it. We did a miracle this season. But we have very short squad, we need to reinforce both in terms of quality and quanity.

We did not reinforce in both things. For quanity you can argue, but we did very late buys on crucial position and against Burnley we have zero quanity on the bench and started with 2 youngster, that are on loan and not play regularly. That`s tell you a lot.

A lot of players you see in the team are not good enough to play, and 90% of them was brought injured or coming after long injury break.

Go get some form from such player, when they are not have full pre-season. Good luck.

100% better to have manager like Conte and Mou, who will go out there and say how the thing is, then having someone who is obedient and you will blame only him, then the next will come and same problem and you are thinking, what the hell is happening?

Cause this is what our board is doing, washing their hands with the managers. They are doing it for long time.

Ancelotti was the first to say it, in his second season, i`m just a coach here, not a manager i don`t have a word about the transfers.

Not just when they had the ball but without the ball they pressed City high up the pitch and didn't give them room to breath and to recyle possession. De Bruyne and Silva were stifled. 

Conte on the other hand rarely utilizes a high press. He goes into games against teams like City with the mentality that his team has to "suffer". When City have the ball we immediately put 10 men behind the ball and hope for some misplaced pass by City to pounce for the sporadic counter-attack. 

We have a better squad than Pool, a team that were title winners before Conte's arrival. It's obvious Conte's biggest problem this season is tactical and he doesn't have the big advantage of playing 1 game a week to help the players with preparation and rest from his rigourous training methods. Conte's rotations, in game tactics, personnel use and player management have been well below the required standard this season. Not getting top 4 is just unacceptable.

 The Liquidator, as far as i remember Liverpool last season was not in the CL as well. They finish 4th.
It`s fun how you try to twist things arround.
First off Liverpool have player in insane form, like Mane, Salah and Firmino. Chamberlain is in good form too( we wated him btw).

Should i said Conte wanted Van Dijk? Liverpool took him.

And most importantly, this is Klopp third season. And so far he won nothing. But yet, there is zero stress at him. Board is trusting in him, and didn`t put unneeded pressureon him.

And saying transfers, Liverpool director i think said all the transfer Liverpool will make, will be Klopp choices, as it happen.

They have some Committee before he came, but he wanted to have the power in there and they release this so call Committee, that choice the players.

Yeah they are budget team, but lets see what happen. Klopp wanted very hard Mane - they spend 34m. on him, 23m on Wijnaldum, he wanted new GK, he get it, he wanted Chamberlane 35m. on him, was blackmailed for Salah, but Klopp wanted hard and the board just paid the 50m., and there it goes, blackmailed hard for Van Dijk, but they broke all the records and spend 75m. on him, and ups i forget Naby Keita, they paid 66m with the bonuses for him, because Klopp want him, and he is not even playing for them.

Something we didn`t do with even a single player, that Conte wanted.

And this players alone, are nearly close to 300m. selection.

And if he decide someone to leave, he leaves, they don`t have problem with it. He decide i don`t like that or that player(Benteke, Sakho and Skrtel for example) - they leave.

And so far he won complete nothing. :D

And btw you are fast to forget. Last season we beat 2 time City and 2 time United. We beat 2 time Totenham.

Just because they made 1 great match today, doesn`t mean they are future top players. They very well may be, but you should not make a opinion for a player from 1 or 2 matches.

Moses was great last season, we see his level this.

You have just totally destroyed your own argument mentioning Spurs. Do you think Pochettino wanted to wait until deadline day to make any signings? And even then do you think Aurier Sanchez and Llorente were anything near his first choices? Do you think he wanted to lose what were upto that point his two most vital cogs in making his system work? Walker to a transfer and Rose to injury. Did he whine? No, he has got on with it, adapted and made the most out of what he has. You also mention Liverpool, well Klopp identified three players to take Liverpool to the next level and begun the season with one, he only eventually got given VVD because the sale of their best player has covered the fee (no way would Liverpool spend so much on a CB without getting anything back), has he acted like a school child over it? The lineup @The Liquidator posted sums it up, had we had those players about 7 of them possibly 8 would be considered not good enough by supporters and used to excuse Contes failings, well guess what? They just smashed argubaly the best team in Europe.

You  can use the money logic to excuse Conte if we were 3rd and behind the Manc clubs, but behind Liverpool and Spurs, winning 3 games in 4 months and losing 7-1 on aggregate to Bournemouth and Watford is on him, and only him!!!!

Both Tottenham and Liverpool managers works without unnecessary stress. Tottenham finish 3rd in the easiest CL group and not a single word that Pochetino job is at risk. This is Klopp third season.
They are working on quietness/serenity atmosphere, while Chelsea job is a nightmare for every coach. Maybe only Real Madrid manager is at more stress, but atleast they have the best players on the planet ....
Our board was doing s*** with managers, and now they get what they deserve.

I will never remember how this s*** fired the man who bring us the first double in our history, and just because he finish second, he was fired, and he was fired in the tunnels after our last match.

That is a disgrace and now they get what they deserve.

And even the commentator yesterday said it. Klopp is a stubborn as hell. He identify a player for his style and he want him till the end, no matter of how hard the price is inflated.

You forget to mention they wanted Van Dijk in the summer, before they sell Cou. Southapmton didn`t want to sell it and was blackmailing Liverpool and even threat them.

Couthino was making s*** and wanted to leave, that`s why they sell him. And to be fair they did good.

And just because Klopp wanted hard Keita, Liverpool board decide to go through that transfer, even when the player will stay at his team for 1 more season.

You know what holidays are coming i have enough of this argue. I just want stability in this team. And i`m tired of idiotic managers sacking in this team.

After Jose sacking i said it, if the manager show he is good i will support him till the end.

You will see i will be the same with the next manager, if he is quality.
