There's talk that Monaco may be backing out of the deal as they are getting cold feet about the amount of players they are selling and that Mbappe may also want to move because of it...of course, there's also talk of manure hijacking the deal too...I must say that this deal has been dragging on for a ages without the even reaching the medical stage...

If we miss out on Bakayoko for whatever reason, Marina and Emanalo head should be taken off !!!

 

God help this forum if Utd did gazump us.  It would be full scale melt down from some of the, erm,  more emotional members. 

I think the floating from certain ”informed” members would be too much to bear!

It would be fun to read the postings here if that happens. 

If United did beat us to Bakayoko, i would fully understand if people did go on a bit of a meltdown. This deal should have been wrapped up ages ago, it would be a disaster to miss out on someone who is clearly one of our main targets this season, especially when it's already happened once in the last few days. The Bakayoko to Chelsea stuff has been going on since before the season ended, if we were to miss out now then the anger and frustration would be completely understandable.

We've only seen Lukaku going to ManU - although no contract has been signed - and no 18+ outfield players signing for us. The reasons for that cannot be seen by us.

Isn't that what I just basically said? Regardless of what we know or don't know with preseason starting tomorrow this is not a good sign.

With this dragging on, seemingly contingent on Matic's sale, it kinda suggests the club aren't convinced that Bakayoko would start ahead of Matic week-in, week-out. 

If he's not a clear improvement, why are we bothering? 

The only time I watched him closely was in Monaco's defeat to Juve in the first leg of the semi, and he was pretty much at fault for both goals, didn't press, didn't get back fast enough... we have Fabregas for that.

Apparently the hold up is from Monaco's side whatever that means...

Maybe his representative is on holiday and it ends tomorrow [emoji23]

Alright there daddy cool  you have to understand football brings out passion, you see the celebrations from everyone when we win, passion has 2 ends of the spectrum, it doesn't just come in the good times, you can't moan about home support then complain if fans who want to see their club do well and have a good run in Europe after being on the sidelines for a year broken down by a woman who seems great at selling but season after season can't get the managers targets even when the money is there, why would expressing frustration at that not be understandable? Knee jerk is one thing but justified frustration comes with football passion, no one says be arsenal fan tv and we are certainly the most level headed fans I've seen out of our rivals, if anything a lot of us are too passive, we invest a lot of our time and money in this club and a woman on her wages needs to deliver, the board is accountable to the fans we pay their wages.  I'm sure there must be a chelsea forum for japanese tourists and that negative passion would never manifest it's self there, but then you would moan about their emotionless spectating at home games, can't have our cake and eat it...

I noticed in a lot of the youtube clips of him, he has strapping on his knee. I wonder if there is some sort of recurring issue which are medical team are unsure about.

He is hiding in the back of the megastore we just need someone to ask for him to be put on the back of their new Nike shirt and he will be announced.

We signed Costa when he had half a hamstring and Remy after he failed a medical a week before elsewhere, I can't imagine there would be any medical issues. 

 

Its a similar strapping to what Alli always wears and he doesn't have any issues that I'm aware of.
