February 9, 20197 yr Geez I had a giggle at his massive reaction (against his first club as well) only to be then called offside. He then also got his customary yellow card for petulance.
February 10, 20197 yr I really hate to see Madrid win every time Courtois plays for them. Athletico were underwhelming in that game.

March 27, 20197 yr Let's hope he keeps scoring so we likely get a better deal at the end of the season.

We already agreed the price with Atletico should they want to make his move permanent, think it was £48m. So either he plays well and Atletico sign him fir that price, or he plays sh*t and we sell him somewhere else for less.

April 1, 20197 yr Another goal for Morata. Four in his last five games for Atletico and six goals in his last seven games including internationals.

Should have kept him, he’s a better player than Higuain is now - at least Morata can run. Higuain looks like he’s running in treacle. Poor signing which Sarri championed, add it alongside Jorginho in why I think he is not the man to build us for the future.

I don't think we had much choice with Morata, I think he was miserable here and he's definitely a confidence player. He was always going to leave though I do question whether we should have held out until the end of the season. We just weren't playing to his strengths. We weren't getting the ball forward quickly into wide areas and whipping crosses in and often when the ball did come into the box he was on own in there against 4 or more defenders. But then again, I don't think Sarri's setting us up in a way that's going to benefit any centre forwards right now. The build up is far too slow and we don't commit enough players into the opposition penalty area.

Yet still one of the worst strikers i've seen in a Chelsea shirt. 17 minutes ago, EdinburghBlue said: Should have kept him, he’s a better player than Higuain is now - at least Morata can run. Morata was beyond bad for the past 12 months. Link up and hold up play was some of the worst i've seen from a Chelsea player.
April 1, 20197 yr He's NOT a good finisher, but he's getting scoring chances, especially when the team play to his strength, and he's going to convert some of those chances sooner or later. Replacing him with an aging Higuain was always going to end of in tears, even Sarri conceded that after the game.

April 1, 20197 yr Maybe he just needs a six-month loan back to Spain every couple of years to boost his confidence. We should rotate with Atletico - we'll have Costa for the first half of the season, then swap him for Morata for the second half.
