Courtois is not a hard keeper to score goals against, he doesn't make saves.

I really wouldn't mind shipping him off for a big fee. Plus he thinks very highly of himself for no reason.

as we stagger over the line......inept 2nd half performance by the team in blue with missed chances and sloppy defending..still 3 points is better than f**k all.  Lets hope Bournemouth can do us a favour tomorrow...although not holding my breath.

What a way to leave on a sour note after such a promising performance in the first half. It's bad enough this Palace side are riddled with injuries and look absolutely sh*te, Wilfried Zaha struggling for fitness yet still manages to cause us problems at the back.

I don't even look at the chances we create anymore, we've always been able to create chances but we aren't scoring enough goals from them.

I'd go as far as saying Courtois should be benched as well!

I've seen enough tonight to tell me Giroud needs to start every game here on out, he was genuinely gutted to be subbed off.

Morata...well...least said the better. He gets worse every game.

I’m really fed up with us trying to pass around at the back. It invites trouble, also courtois hardly makes one on one saves caballero does better on that part.

Better for him to receive the yellow card because I'm tired of him, it seems like he doesn't want to play.

Excellent first half, but the second half wasn't the same, the only one we can blame is us, we stopped our game for some reason. We started to make errors in the defence at the beginning, we could see the goal coming by them. We still have to train before Barcelona, we must bring the first half with us.

Well what should've been a thrashing turned out to be a very nervy last few minutes. I thought we were brilliant in the first half, but in the second we were sloppy and wasteful in front of goal. Need to be more clinical against Barca otherwise we've no chance.

 

Thought Willian and Zappa were our best players, Hazard Kante and Alonso were also very good. We looked very shaky defensively though, were lucky we never conceded with the chance that hit the post, we need to be f**king switched on from the back. 

 

Also I'd start Giroud over Morata, he'll hold the ball up better which will be vital, just needs to be more clinical, it just wouldn't go in for him today. Morata did nothing, apart from get himself needlessly booked. 

 

Overall happy with the win though, time to have a few beers to celebrate.

All Conte's fault still? Gameplan not good enough? Our players are off it right now, we are struggling to execute perfectly fine game plans end of. 

Good first half, not so good second. I think Zappacosta and Giroud should be the first choices to their posiyions on the pitch.

Glad to get the 3 points, bit deflating to crumble under pressure at the end again and lose a goal. 

Willian MOTM, although he needs to be more careful when passing it in deep areas, several times he gave it away.

Giroud should start over Morata.

Well, as I said before, my time travel machine is powered by disappointment and now that you know I lied about Morata scoring in the future, it's reached just enough fuel to power me into the 2018-19 season.

Spirited fightback from Palace but f**k me we didn't help ourselves in that second half. That said for me today wasn't about the performance just the result, we're now only 2pts behind Spurs who play Bournemouth away tomorrow.

If we had played against ManC like we played today on the first half and lost 3-0, I would have been happier than than on our p1-0 lost last weekend.

I just don't really like him either, doesn't seem committed to us in the slightest. 

Sell him and bring in Oblak would be a dream scenario and make a bit of cash in the mean time. Although Oblak would be expensive.

Yep.

i agree courtois is turning into a overrated keeper. His one on ones are poor and can’t seem to save a penalty for toffee.

I don't know if i would go that far. Caballero is a much better shot stopper, but the guy sh*ts himself when it comes to set pieces. He's one of those goalkeepers that always looks like he has a mistake in him.
