Oh i know, but sh*t happens, we've gotten 4 good years out of Courtois, for almost no cost except his wage, and if he leaves it'll be for a hefty sum. If the same happens with donnarumma, so be it, but long term thinking is key, even if it doesn't pan out that way in the end. Also Courtois was a funny one because he was on loan for so long that his family got settled in Spain. Get Donnarumma settled in england and I don't think we'd have a Courtois situation on our hands

Liverpool mean business. They needed a keeper, a centre-back and a midfielder, and they've made top signings in all those areas. With their attack, they have to fancy their chances.

They're still the dippers, though, masters of history and mourners of chickens.  They'll fall short again.

I'm thinking of putting a fiver on Salah going back to being pants again this season.  Then they're f**ked from the front.

We don't know that. A quote come out yesterday where he said although his family means a lot, he would be open to a new contract and that he's happy living in London. Either that or we take Navas off of Real Madrid's hands. There's other options out there I am sure. I haven't watched Alisson nearly enough to comment on his ability or ceiling, but by next year no doubt a keeper will come on to the market that will be the next great keeper, it's always the way. Worrying over replacing Courtois shouldn't be a big issue yet.

The refs and media alone will ensure they get a good helping hand.....along with their quality signings it could and probably will get them far......I love how they back klopp with what he wants, no matter the Price it seems.

They've had a helping hand every year - still w**k, though.

P.S. Donnarumma is a Riaola client and that comes with its own issues. He is already on £100k+ at Milan which for a 19yr old goalkeeper is ridiculous.

That first sentence may well be what happens. No point rushing to get a keeper this season, and Courtois could easily sign a new contract which would work in both his and our favour. He gets to go next season, but for a price, not free, and we get to keep him for this season to help us back into CL and possibly challenge for the title too.

Apparently Chelsea didn’t even bid for Alisson. So we can’t have been that serious about signing him could we?

I was always surprised that we was being link with a goalkeeper whose price would have made him our most expensive player... if we’re going to break the bank I think it’ll be for a striker. 

If we do end up selling Courtois I don’t see us spending much more than we’d sell him for. 

Remember when Klopp told us he didn't want to spend money like other clubs, Liverpool do things differently etc.... Ha ha, yeah, right. Hypocritical bellend is at the right club for certain.

Not exactly pocket change is it? They clearly mean business and it’ll make for a more competitive league but I don’t want the Scousers or media putting them on a pedestal about how they’ve got to where they are. 

I can’t see any other option than sell him if he doesn’t sign a new contract in the next week or so. If th3 offer is north of £30 million then that’s simply to much to in effect write off
