Two Transfer Window Ban?

Is this transfer ban because of one specific transfer regarding Bertand Traore or because of several under 18 signings?.

29 different players.

The most crazy thing is we were being investigated for 92 players. 92!

When I saw that number a while ago, I knew there was no chance we would get away with it.

Just frustrating since we dont actually play any of these players.

I think the punishment is over the top, it would've made more sense to ban us signing youth players.

If the ban doesn't get over turned, we'd probably see 4-5 of those 42 come back and get their Chelsea career kick started, wouldn't be a terrible thing should that happen.

Depends, what I think is far more likely is that we extend the likes of Willian and Luiz and Pedro. You watch.

This isn't a problem of our making, this seems to be down to our FA having different rules to FIFA, or at least misinterpreting FIFAs rules.

I think we might just need to accept that our management screwed up and shouldn’t have done what they did. The judgement although not helpful is not the end of the world. I have read the club’s statement and if genuine it just makes management look incompetent. Some other clubs have slipped up on this issue but the extent to which Chelsea have.?

You would think now is the right time to appoint a technical director to sort out this mess. Might be time to have a large culling of our loanees, you just wonder if we will be getting market/premium fees as everyone is aware of our situation.

Now more than ever it’s very important to get top 4. Failure to get a Champions League spot might be a disaster in the grand scheme of things. Should Hazard jump ship in the summer as expected, without CL football I struggle to see our appeal for any top player factoring in the ban also. No top player will also train with us for 6mths knowing  we are not in the CL or competing for top honours.

We really need to get it right.

Whatever happens, we have to go into this summer knowing what we want to do. Assuming we get the summer window due to us appealing, I really hope we do the following:

1: Appoint a DOF

2: Have the board/Roman/DOF agree on  a vision for Chelsea regarding playing style, pathway from the academy to the first team and profile of transfers

3: Appoint a manager who fits with the vision or stick with Sarri if they feel he's the right one, but we can't repeat the uncertainty of last summer. Come spring we have to know who'll be in charge come august.

4: Buy/sell players accordingly

If we do this, I think we'll be fine and on our way back to the top.

I can, however, see us doing the opposite - dragging our heels, eventually panic and just hand out new contracts to the likes of Pedro, Willian and Luiz to cover our asses. Interesting times

Maybe a two window ban with immediate affect, coupled with a 5th/6th place finish in the league, will force us to use what we have, sell what we must, and rebuild with youth. A scorched earth project, CHO and Pulisic on the wings, RLC and Kante in front of Ampadu, Abraham up front, Kepa( and Bulka for cup games), Christensen and Rudiger, Emerson, bring back Aina for RB, thats a pretty youthful set up, the fans would be happy with the changes, Sarri would be locked down until summer 2020 with the same young players, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Unfortunately there’s an option to buy and it sounds like it’ll be taken up. Doesn’t mean he will sign but getting him regular football will be in their favour.

News say mancity paid 200k pounds to the agent of Sancho back when he was 14, they openly spend as much money as they want and bribe UEFA and are connected to the people who bought the next and first ever winter World Cup in Qatar. But sure ban Chelsea.

It doesn't matter when it's City though.

Im not into Conspiracy theories and what not , but I believe this has more to do with RA than the club itself. The politics behind the scenes with the stadia development in limbo and him not allowed back in the country etc could be driving this latest setback. Yes Chelsea are guilty, but they are not the only top 6 club to have done this but are first to face the music?...Special attention if you ask me.

But like someone mentioned earlier in the thread. This ban could be a blessing in disguise as it will force RA to spend big money NOW on Refreshing the squad before the hammer falls, thats what chelsea fans would hope for anyways.

While you are here, where do you stand on OGS, give him a longer contract now or wait to see where you finish?

Long run this might do us a favour as it would appear we will need to use the likes of Abraham, CHO and Ampdu and some of the others like maybe Mount at Derby.

Spot on..
I really believe these youngsters will have to play over the next season or so now.

Why would FIFA be on the same side as the UK govt?

I don't see why that would be the case. We will have this summer to sign players.
