You may be fine with losing to Tottenham 3 times in a row, but I'm not. We were crap in that 2nd half. Even though we had all of the ball it was still Tottenham who had the best chance in the half with Kane's shot.

If people want to moan, they are going to moan. Football's a passionate sport, if your team is playing awful football and just knocking it about aimlessly, then of course people are going to complain. There's no energy, no creativity, no goals, it's f**king boring.....so yeah, I'm going to moan about it. We are playing dull, lifeless football, and nothing is improving. You can't tell me you are happy with what you are seeing at the moment.

Sorry but what a load of old tosh.

Did you phone childline?

At the time, 1967, it was nice place to live. I am sure I would be able claim compensation if it happened today.

Things don't change overnight. Sarri said we're a year off liverpool and city, and we lack a striker so why are our expectations so high? I don't expect much else than top four finish (hopefully) and/or a EL win. Expectations are way too high considering the players we have the style change.

Much better away performance than last time. With the chances created should have beat them. The difference between us and them is Kane. A proper striker is needed otherwise chances created means nothing.

Not being argumentative but what chances? I don’t think we had a clear cut chance in the whole game other than maybe Christensen’s.

I know it is difficult to witness yet another defeat by Spurs, but we are to blame ourselves. We had a chance in the summer to shape up the squad, but instead we pissed about with Conte/Sarri merry-go-round, did not get any decent players, carried on with dross, ignored talented motivated youngsters and now get exactly what we deserved.

From the above my biggest bone to pick with the club management is the dire lack of youth involvement in our games.

CHO came on today and showed up the whole f**king squad of seasoned well experienced decorated and sunrays from the arse players.  And we have bags of young hungry players who would tire out Spuds in the first 20 minutes.

Anyway, we just have to accept that we regress and not progress in the slightest.

That is a joke. Spurs have made it look so f**king easy to beat us three games in a row. Embarrassing.

What about that match makes you think that Spuds made it look easy?

Sorry but every defeat to Spurs is a totally unacceptable fking disaster. Irrational as it may be i was even pi$$ed off that Sarri was smiling when he shook hands with Pochettino at the end. You have just been owned by fking tottenham man, its no time to be smiling!!

We dominated them - how is that "being owned"?

So hitting the woodwork twice, Christensen not knowing which foot was which and their keeper playing the match of his life don't count, is that it?

I see the usual melt-down from the usual suspects.  Not going to say much more than proud of my team, proud of the travelling fans, totally ashamed of a lot of you in here, as always, it appears. Beaten by a penalty fro an off-side w**ker, and some of you are diving into deep deep despair.

Also, without trying to sound like a broken record, ONE misplaced pass from Willian triggered a storm of abuse in here.  CHO missed the ball competely on the Spuds penalty area - not a post!  But no agenda, mind.

Largely controlled that, which is the positive we usually walk away with as a minimum. But again, real lack of cutting edge.

Add a capable, physical striker with an eye for goal and again, its fairly likely we leave with a win.

Same problem, different day. Tie's far from over, and we've highlighted the main problem again, just hope the signing we need materializes soon.

CHO had a good game too, hopefully continues in the starting XI.

Id play Christensen. They have too much pace in their attack, and will likely rip Luiz Alonso and Jorginho again.

Like i said, we looked so solid today with him and Rudiger at the back.

This is possibly the most uninspiring Chelsea team I’ve ever watched, great for getting me off to sleep though.

I understand what you are saying but looking at your user name, along with mine, i cannot believe that you really mean this.

Remember this team. What a christmas thyis was. I might have been at the whitewall of the shed but it was like looking out across a frozen tundra with pockets of sh!te dispersed here and there  :biggrin:image.png.03ad2b1734d8091addb50260243aba16.png

Read my other post. I was referring to the three defeats in a row, not the balance of play. Regardless of how Tottenham played against us for the last 20 years, we have owned them at the Bridge and at Three Point Lane. Sadly, a fading memory.

I don't think asking for a bit of creativity and energy in our performances is having high expectations in all honesty.

We may lack a striker, but I don't think bringing in a new one will solve the rest of the issues we have. We don't give our strikers chances to score goals. What has happened to the fast possession football that we were playing at the start of the season? Was it just a reaction to a new manager coming in? or has that been coached out of them already and Sarri is now instructing them to play this Italian slow possession type of football? I'm not sure what it is but we look like what a Serie A team would look like trying to play in the Premier League at the moment.

I'm not expecting miracles, but I thought we were going to see exciting football? I haven't been enjoying any of our performances overall for months now. I know we are behind City and Liverpool, but they were showing signs of progress the longer things went on, we're not, we're getting worse.

Yorkley, I agree with a lot of what you say at times, other times I think you just try to be argumentative.

The fact that we didn’t test their keeper for one? How on earth can you claim he had the match of his life? He had little to do other than shots directly at him, that’s ridiculous to make that claim. Bar the Kante shot which was a good save.

We hit the post from Kantes strike which admittedly was a good cross and shot (I think it may have taken a deflection but would need to see it again). As for CHO cross that hit the woodwork it took a MASSIVE deflection which caused it to do that, it wasn’t a wonderful piece of play or great strike.

There’s always going to be emotions and getting beat by spurs 3 times on the bounce is not good enough, nothing to do with being spoilt but we should have a good enough team to not let that happen. I concede there was much more fight in this game than the previous two.

The huge difference being Willian being a seasoned international who has previous and the other being a young player who has bags of potential who was our main bright spark in the game. I’ve said repeatedly that Willian is a good squad player but I don’t feel he’s an automatic starter as I don’t think he’s good enough, what’s wrong with that?

You’re free to assume peoples knowledge on football all you want, but you have no idea the qualifications/level that anyone on this board has studied or played. I’m not overly fussed if it’s directed at me or not (not sure why you’ve referenced soccer when I’m Scottish so wouldn’t refer to it as that)
