We played a fine game.  Need one more class player that's a goal scoring threat, we all know that.  That's not on Sarri... it's on the board (I think).

Not sure the whining about Alonso this game, we got beat on one over the top ball between our centers. Azpi did a great job with Odoi, loved that combo today.   Pay CHO and give him the minutes, he's legit.

Alonso - pants, far too slow for the elite level. A top class WB but not a good enough FB in my opinion, which is a shame as I like him and he gives his all.

Jorginho - i still do not see what he does, you can slap any title you want on him. All he does is pass the ball 5 yards. He is awful at anything longer than that or any forward passing.

Willian - Hopeless, actually hopeless, runs about a lot (less than he used to IMO) his end product is atrocious for a winger. He just seems to be regressing more and more and the constant flicks when you’re not playing well is enraging. A good squad player but should certainly not be first choice the way he seems to be.

Pedro - Pants when he came on, appreciate he’s just back from injury but nonetheless, still very poor.

Barkley - Had a decent first half making forward runs and trying to get shots off, still expect to see more from him but I think he gets a raw deal while the likes of Jorginho gets a pass on here cause he’s Sarri’s golden boy.

Christensen - I thought he was very solid today and composed on the ball, he really should have done better with his chance from Barkleys knock down but he’s a centre half after all.

CHO - the only bright spark for me today, he absolutely oozes class when he’s on the ball, he’s such a breath of fresh air with his willingness to run at players and take them on something which we are constantly crying out for.

Hazard - not his usual magical self but he gets no helps from the other attackers.

I’m sick of us being easily beaten by Spurs. We can pass the ball all we want. Sarri needs to come up with a plan B because at the moment we’re being beaten by serial bottlers without too much difficulty.

To say we were sihte is grossly unfair given the attempts we got. To say we were good aren't totally true given the endless clusterfcuk of flicks and missed crossed we did. But it all came down to that pen. Without it, it would be 0 0. So, it's hard to be pissed -apart from losing to spuds and being robbed by refs but that's a given by now- against the team since it did better overall in terms of football playing than spuds. But, we cant hide from the fact that :

1 Jorginho is useless when he does not propose something, does not break lines with his passing, does not defend à la kante and just sticks to sideway passes

2 Barkley needs to do more than what he used to get a pass with at everton

3 Alonso needs to be subbed off by Emerson

4 No striker no party !

UTC still, but I hope this will be a wake up call for the board that we must now acknoweldge the fact that we need to play youth more as CHO proved it tonight because we won't solve our problems with splashing 900 Billion £ to get bang average players ! Also, Sarri needs to understand than forcing a possession style football with Chelsea, a team that has won grand prizes thanks to super clinical and direct football approach isnt going to do it when you dont have the likes of Lampard, Drogba, JT, Cole anymore !!!

Losing once against those c**ts was bad enough but this time after playing so well is hard to take, fed up with this false 9 bollocks get someone in who knows where the goal is and not just talking about a striker.

I don't think anyone would give you an argument. What are his qualities outside of quick, short passing? No pace, no power, no dribbling ability, no aerial power, no tackling ability.

He epitomizes the massive differences between the EPL and Serie A

..and his shot is nonsense.

Sorry but every defeat to Spurs is a totally unacceptable fking disaster. Irrational as it may be i was even pi$$ed off that Sarri was smiling when he shook hands with Pochettino at the end. You have just been owned by fking tottenham man, its no time to be smiling!!

A loss is always hard to take against spurs but I wouldn't say we were owned. Far from it. Also this is really just half time with the second half at the Bridge. Not that I am full of confidence for 2 weeks time unfortunately...

The moaning here is disgusting get a grip.

You may be fine with losing to Tottenham 3 times in a row, but I'm not. We were crap in that 2nd half. Even though we had all of the ball it was still Tottenham who had the best chance in the half with Kane's shot.

If people want to moan, they are going to moan. Football's a passionate sport, if your team is playing awful football and just knocking it about aimlessly, then of course people are going to complain. There's no energy, no creativity, no goals, it's f**king boring.....so yeah, I'm going to moan about it. We are playing dull, lifeless football, and nothing is improving. You can't tell me you are happy with what you are seeing at the moment.

True but three defeats in a row to them and when i get in to work tomorrow, all i'll hear is how they own us now.

If we lose the battle but win the war does it really matter?

I was born 3 miles from Stamford Bridge but my family moved when I was 7 to the town Lewis Hamilton recently described as the slums.Tottenham play their reserve games here (played Liverpool U23 this week), there is a Tottenham club shop in our shopping centre. My phone is going mad with incoming texts.

Yeah. It kinda matters and you haven't got a clue have you.

Well at least we turned up this time. Unfortunately we needn’t have bothered seeing we’re so shockingly toothless. We wouldn’t have scored if we’d played till next Tuesday.

Sarriball is so fascinating. I’m intrigued by the bit where you have a brilliant in demand winger who can actually cross and you wait ages to start him and when you do you don’t play with a striker to cross it to. When with 10 minutes lest you bring a striker on you take the winger off.

And who’d ever have thought that Kanté would make a false 9? That’s some real left field stuff.

Im sure everyone will be copying this style next season. Loads of possession but absolutely no threat of scoring a goal. Scoring is so overrated.

This is all Barkley’s fault. He’s cursed against Tottenham, we’re destined to lose if he’s in the team.

On the plus side, at least we didn’t have to watch Morata score any easy tap-ins and do his moody goal (non)celebration again.

I'm getting texts too, but if we win the second leg it will be even sweeter. f**k the c**ts.

Barkley has 1 good game then about 4 or 5 stinkers, he’s just not kicked on like his early potential suggested.

Going to have to break the bank or give Moult the chance because goals from midfield are not going to happen with what we have.

As for Alonso......Alex Sandro oh what could have been

back to the league games the weekend, when we can get turned over again with this offside bollocks when your not actually offside.

Much better away performance than last time. With the chances created should have beat them. The difference between us and them is Kane. A proper striker is needed otherwise chances created means nothing.

Defensive fullbacks, defensive midfielders, you can't play in this way with Azpilicueta, Alonso, Kante and Barkel all together. You need offensive players but you are trying to sign another defensive midfielder. Striker is not the only problem.
