Blindingly obvious it will be so much harder next season. We only have two genuinely world class players and one of those has gone. A transfer ban. Two of our most promising youngsters with career threatening injuries. An owner who is remote to the point of being invisible. I think these are some of the real reasons why Sarri jumped ship rather than some fans singing "fuc k Sarriball" when we were 4-0 down against Bournemouth.

So onwards and upwards . 6th and totally happy with that if Frank Lampard is sliding down the touchline on his knees when we beat Tottenham.

God I love this club.

Who is the lone world class player? Kante or Kepa?

I think we have those 2 and a few who will be world class by the time the ban is over. RLC, CHO and Christiansen have the talent to get into any team in the world.

So do i

4th ± 1

I'm putting my money on fourth but I think we can finish 3rd or 5th depending on other external factors such as the teams around us having bad seasons, some of our players improve from last season, or the older ones continue to get worse.

Apart from Hazard leaving our squad actually improves this season with the return of zouma over Cahill, James over Zappa, Tammy and Bats over Higuain and Mount over Kova. When RLC and CHO return we will have a healthy looking squad. Players like Emerson and Jorginho have had time to get used to the demands of the Prem and will be the better for the experience. Plus the addition of Pulisic. Hopefully goals will be shared around a bit more.

Im going for 3rd again but if it is Lamps and we finish 8th in his 1st season i for one will still be supporting him to be our manager next season

Yes I did put my vote on here but;

Whatever happens happens, it's totally irrelevant what position we are given that it will be the first season with Frankie if the reports are correct, with a transfer ban and with a few young and inexperienced players! We're fine even if we finish below top 6!

5th or 6th. But if we finished 4th in our champions league group and this get eliminated in the champions league group stages and we also avoid playing in the Europa league, I can see us managing to finish 4th.

On the contrary I think they've stagnated.
Even upto February when they were getting the results they were doing it in a ridiculously unconvincing manner (their victory against us aside), the run to the CL final has masked over a spectacular collapse, they don't look even half as good as previous years.
Unless Levy bucks a trend and goes all out in the market I can see them getting worse.
I think lots of people underrate Tottenham and especially Pochettino a lot which is funny. From my own perspective though, if they somehow manage to keep Pochettino, even without bringing in any new player, I can't see them finishing out of the top four and thus playing in the Europa league. That guy sure knows how to manage an average team. Apart from Conte, Klopp and Pochettino himself, I can't see any other manager out there who could have led that sh*t Tottenham team to a champions league final.

I think we will end third and don’t share the pessimism many on here have. That said, I remain an optimist and always do when it comes to Chelsea. City first,  ‘always the victims’ second and chants of ‘it’s happening again’ ring out across the Bridge as Spuds once again run out of steam.

6th for me.

The squad has improved with the loanees coming back but you cant begin to replace Hazards 30 goal contributions between these players.

Even if we didnt have a transfer ban, we wouldnt have replaced what Hazard brings to the side so the squad improves but the quality of the starring XI has drastically gone down hill.

GK : Kepa, Big Willy, Cumming or Blackman

RB : Azp, James

CB : Luiz, Zouma, Christensen, Rudiger, Tomori

LB : Emerson, Alonso

CM : Kante, RLC, Jorginho, Barkley, Mount, Bakayoko, Ampadu

RW : Pedro, Willian

LW : Pulisic, Odoi

CF : Michy, Giroud, Abraham

HG or U21 players dont need to be registered : Bold

15 of a maximum 17 non HG players in the above list.

I've included Mount, Tomori and Ampadu but if theyre not going to play, I'd loan them out, especially Ampadu and Tomori who I dont think will break into the side at all.

We need a 3rd choice GK with Green gone so might as well promote Cumming as Bulka is meant to be leaving but if we could give him a anew deal, I'd gladly make him 2nd choice.

Super Frank in

4th and either the FA cup or league cup would do me.

Most importantly is give Frank time .

We need to be patient

So which is it?

Give him time or finish in the top 4 and win a trophy?

I won't expect any trophies or top 4 next season - not even if Harry f**king Houdini was in charge. Regardless of who is coach, with no Hazard and no ability to sign any real quality, all we can hope for is to try and progress the youngsters already part of the first team (RLC, CHO & Christensen) and hope that the likes of Mount, Abraham and James also become 1st team squad regulars and that they blend well with the experienced players like Dave, Rudiger, Kante, Luiz etc.

It's gonna be one of those "transitional" seasons (again) - lets just hope the highs outweigh the lows. If we can start by beating United at Old Trafford, that would certainly help to set the ball rolling but even that will be a task, looking at the list of injuries.

With Hazard gone, I really struggle to see where the goals are going to come from. We certainly need someone to step up.

Giroud scores goals in streaks and generally not enough

Willian barely scores

Barkley can get a few but hasn’t done it in Chelsea

Puilsic hasn’t got a record either

I honestly think you guys are little to harsh. Even with ban and Eden gone, we are still better than man utd and arsenal. Defensively, we are far better than them. Arsenal are better offensive, but we are not far behind.

Top two are booked for city and lpool, spurs should be third, and 4th chelsea.

I also think Lamps would be right choise, he will have authority and respect. Hope he would get time and be our manager for a long time.
