Exactly. Watford and now Southampton have embarrassed themselves and the league. 10 men have often beaten 11. There is no excuse to be mauled like that. Lose yes, but lose with some pride at least.

This was against Leicester for goodness sake.

Hope they both go down.

It's what happens when you keep selling your best players, they sold half of their best XI to Liverpool.

I hadn't realised that it was almost a year to the day when the Leicester owner died in the helicopter crash (quick year!) . Perhaps last night's freak result at St Mary's had a bit of help from above !

Exactly!

They sold 6 players to Liverpool in 3 years.

So obviously Liverpool was going to get stronger and Southampton was going to get weaker.

These are 2 teams in the same division!

If their sole purpose was to help Liverpool win trophies then they’ve achieved that.

I found it odd at the time and now it’s coming home to roost I have no sympathy with them.

Strange way to run a club.

Biggest margins in the PL era:

Manchester United 9-0 Ipswich Town (1994/1995) = March 4 1995
Southampton 0-9 Leicester City (2019/2020) = October 25 2019
Newcastle United 8-0 Sheffield Wednesday (1999/2000) = September 19 1999
Tottenham Hotspur 9-1 Wigan Athletic (2009/2010) = November 22 2009
Chelsea 8-0 Wigan Athletic (2009/2010) = May 8 2010
Chelsea 8-0 Aston Villa (2012/2013) = December 23 2012

Southampton 8-0 Sunderland (2014/2015) = October 18 2014
Manchester City 8-0 Watford (2019/2020) = September 21 2019

So the city game, 2nd goal, kdb cross/shot from the left, seemed to miss everyone and went in the net, VAR checks for any touches after kdb hit the ball because Sterling is offside if it comes of him or Silva, VAR couldnt see any touches so awarded the goal to kdb, the correct decision imo, but here is the thing, they just awarded the goal after the game had finished to Silva, but if that was the case the goal shouldnt of stood because Sterling was offside and in the keepers line of sight when Silva claimed he got the touch on the kdb cross.

Well we definitely don’t want a Spurs win but then we don’t want a Liverpool win either. Is it possible they can both lose?

Of Course Harry Kane scores an early goal 'cos I transferred him out of my fantasy team this week!!

I’d forgotten how much Liverpool fans shout and try and claim everything. Gets so annoying. Handball, fouls.

Ajax were the same the other night against us. I agree, it gets annoying.
