Kai Havertz

I don't think you meant this as a joke but it sure read like one lol

I think people want to have hope that he can be okay, I think he has showed some glimpses pre-covid but he's been dirt awful since.

Tuchel will put some more structure around him I suspect coordinate the movement of the front attacking players more to provide more space, we might see a bit one from him.

I said earlier in the year that Bosz is very structured in his play and as players in set movement patterns. Lampard almost gave too much freedom and he wasn't sure what to do.

I dunno. I could be miles off but I still think Havertz can be a real player for us. Yep, he is plop at the moment but I just have a gut feeling. He needs to toughen up and realise the pace is quicker in the EPL. But he has all the tools physically, and for me it's more a case of how mentally strong he is and how much he wants it.

I agree with you, I think he will do well for us. His move to us has been pretty difficult for him to say the least. Once he gets settled hopefully we will get to see his obvious potential fulfilled.

Reading some of the comment here, it feel like Lamp was struggling to use prime Zidane not Havertz.

Those people dislike Lampard for other management decisions and took to using Havertz and Werner as a stick to beat him with as if we'd bought two perfect players instead of a pair with some obvious development areas that nobody wanted to see when we bought them. Probably because they'd not watched them play beyond YouTube highlights.

The reality is Havertz is bought for his potential. Werner can only work in specific setup which very difficult to implement with our squad.

Like may have said, the two German’s make great runs but time and time again aren’t picked out. This needs to be resolved. Chilwell & Mount are particularly bad for this. I can’t help but think maybe the English lads don’t like the fact that these guys have come in for big fees and subconsciously just don’t want to pass to them. Maybe I’m over thinking it but it is a coincidence. Reece is bad for it sometimes as well. They need to play as a team and realise these guys can help the team win major titles if we play the right way.

Maybe take the tin foil hat off? You can't seriously believe players don't give Havertz and Werner the ball just because they are Germans and cost a lot of money.

Come on, they aren't passing to them because they either aren't seeing runs or are lacking in confidence to try it. There's no way on earth it's because they're German, that's a ridiculous thing to say.

I think I worded that badly. Maybe it's more the fact that they're academy lads and they might not like the fact signings have come in for big money. Chilwell is clearly in with that group as well. Just an observation.

Honestly that just doesn't happen mate, these lads have spent their entire time at the club seeing foreign players come and go, even at academy level so it's pretty normal for them. Footballers are single minded once on the pitch. I played in teams with lads I f**king hated, I fought with and wouldn't spit on if they were on fire but once we crossed the white line I didn't care who they were, they were a team mate trying to win like I was.

Last game I did see a marginal improvement but it's still not enough, I noticed Chilwell ignored him plenty of times on the left flank when he ran into space. About 3 times I saw it.

I can sort of see why he's getting ignored, because he's very wasteful with the ball, but this isn't the right way to go about things. Kai seriously needs to come into his own more, I would love to know what his pass completion is, because he must give the ball away a good 60% of the time. It's very frustrating...

I don’t agree with the particular theory that was laid out above, but if you think there isn’t any politicking and/or pettiness within teams that crosses the white line, I think you’re mistaken.

First time in a while Havertz had some space to run and he looked right at home doing that. Same goes to Werner actually. This was of course latter part of the game where Burney were stretched and opened their shop trying to get one back. There will not be many games like that in the Prem for us so the boys need to find other ways to be productive.

It is all about confidence, both players are still trying to fit in and adapt to the Premier League. Morata was a big wet lettuce from day one, i don't get that vibe from Timo & Kai.

I believe Havertz will come alive under Tuchel.

Coming to the EPL and succeed immediately is quite difficult, even for the best of players.

Tell that to Gianfranco, Desailly, Gullit, Ballack and many, many more.

I just see that Japanese guy Liverpool signed who was expected to rise to stardom has gone on loan. Not everyone turns out to be good enough and I see Kai going the same way. Standards have dropped so much that we now have to resort to praise him for intent in nearly getting a scoring opportunity or nearly completing a killer pass.

I remember when Hazard first joined. You could instantly see his class, even against City where he made that back heel blinder you could see a real 'generational talent' was there.

Minamino cost pool 8 m pound, noone expect stardom at that price

He has better vision and better finishing than Mount, he just needs some time against a team that will play a more open game that's all. No wonder he played well against Sevilla, he's not used to the PL where teams either park the bus or dominate you...
