Last game I did see a marginal improvement but it's still not enough, I noticed Chilwell ignored him plenty of times on the left flank when he ran into space. About 3 times I saw it.

I can sort of see why he's getting ignored, because he's very wasteful with the ball, but this isn't the right way to go about things. Kai seriously needs to come into his own more, I would love to know what his pass completion is, because he must give the ball away a good 60% of the time. It's very frustrating...

I noticed that Chilwell lack of playing him in, and instantly thought odd that, Maybe that is why Alonso was back in, because he has that continental, head up awareness, something Chilwell will have coached into him, thats why Grealish is so good, he' is always assessing what on and around him, plus he has the 'Tekkers' to play the right ball

A loan ? I propose a money back guarantee ! I’d wager the only thing he has done of any noteworthiness since his extremely expensive and long drawn out arrival last year was getting SFL the sack!😅🤫

Really interested to see where Thomas will play Kai next. He started on the left against wolves in a floating 10 role. Really would love to see him on the right with Mount to the left of him and CHO on the wing.

Released from more defensive duties I'm curious to see him on his favoured side operating with other dynamic forward thinking players.

Added to that I want to see at least one game with him as the false 9. We got one game against Liverpool which we looked to be matching them before the red card and so he was the sacrificial lamb for us to bring on another cb.

After that Lamps didn't really experiment with him there again that I can recall.

Ballack on Havertz: "It is important for Chelsea to understand that if you buy a player with that kind of potential, then you have to give him time, bit by bit. So he can be in that role and that the team can be built around him."

Same applies to Werner for me. After the Salah/De Britney/Lukaku situations I won’t be giving up on any of them till the end of next season at the earliest.

Especially this season of all seasons. Moving to a new country during a pandemic, stuck in lockdown, it must be hard to adapt when you can't even really experience it. The pandemic is hard enough to deal with, it must be even harder to deal with being in lockdown in a foreign country.

My heart bleeds for him, he must have such a tough life 😂

I get where you are coming from but he is still 21 and with 21 you dont have your life sorted out at all, many things change in personality, surrounding, private life etc.. While money is helpful it cant solve everything.

Just imagine you (21) would have gone during a pandemic to germany with a massive price tag - pressure builds up, you get ill and your team isnt doing so good and now you are out of form and fans blame you for the sacking of a club legend.

Could he have done better? Yes but that doesnt mean he is a failure just give him a bit of time.

I also think people forget how times have changed in the last 20 years. Kids are using the internet from a young age. Kids are using social pages and making videos from a young age. Footballers personally are looked after and are taught how to deal with the media etc from a very young age. Theres alot more help now for youngsters with mental health etc than 20 years ago when I was a kid, anyone with mental health problems was laughed at and bullied to hell.

Moving on from that i replied to the original comment saying it must be hard to move to a foreign country in a pandemic. At the age of 21 with the facilities one of the biggest clubs in the world could help you with, with all the money in the world and in one of the biggest cities and fellow Germans the answer would be i easily dont think its that difficult. I would deffiantly take my chance moving to a new country in a pandemic for 200k a week and so many others would.

Just because they've got money and good facilities to use doesn't mean they're immune to struggle, has what happened to Robin Williams and Caroline Flack taught us nothing?

How can you not get his point? Imagine being 21 and you’re living in Germany in lockdown. What do you do?

Being 21 too, I am much more resilient mentally now (30) than when I was 21. A completely different person to be honest, and I’m sure it’s the same for everyone at a similar age.

It certainly isn’t an easy time for him but he definitely should be doing better though, he has been sh*te there’s no denying that.

Well said.  In the past during dips of form or injuries, most youngsters would fly family or friends over for a bit.  Not even an option for Kai, and must be tough.  More respect to him (and others) going thru it.

I would love to be a 21 year old millionaire in lockdown with my girlfriend in Germany and my English teammates doing the job I love with the best facilities you can get in life. Let’s not forget footballers have been travelling the world way before they are 21 playing football with there teammates and staying away from families, it’s everything they are use too. Also it wasn’t like Havertz didn’t know about covid before he considered his move.

I just think Havertz has been sh*t but that doesn’t mean I don’t want him to succeed or don’t think he will. I just find the moving country while in lockdown abit of a lame excuse. Let’s not forget it has made stadiums empty and Havertz would have been crucified by all away fans.

Of course not but it reduces the chances of struggling by quite a lot IMO. If you need anything medically you have the best doctors in the country at the end of line, you can buy and do anything you want. I would rather move country in the best circumstances you can have if that’s what I was going to do.

Why wouldn't he? Because he has money? Can you not see how difficult the past several months will have been for him?

.

So we are going to play player who struggle to keep the ball against dm as false 9 so that he will struggle even more playing against cb.

It really doesn't. You are talking about twaddle.

How does anyone know if the past few months have been difficult for him? On the field he has been awful, off the field he could have just been fine.

So you would rather move to a new country with nothing rather than everything step up for you as millionaire?

He has better vision and better finishing than Mount, he just needs some time against a team that will play a more open game that's all. No wonder he played well against Sevilla, he's not used to the PL where teams either park the bus or dominate you...

Sevilla had already qualified, were without a number of first-choice players, and forced to give a debut to 20yo goalkeeper Alfonso Pastor after Vaclik was injured in the warm-up. I wouldn't read anything out of that game.

In either situation I would find it to be a toll on my mental health.

I'm not saying he has struggled mentally, I'm arguing against your point that it's unlikely because he's rich.

We were fighting for the top spot of the group and Sevilla has proven to be a very difficult opponent, we are the only team that beat them at home like that in a long time.

So I can only agree to disagree with you there, sorry.

The Sevilla team was not the same team that played the rest of the group games, completely different.
