Trying to turn this squad into a title winning side is akin to alchemy. It's only our bias and fantasies that make us think it's just a formation change or some confidence that is missing. It's top players we're well short of. This squad is more than good enough to get a result against the likes of West Ham, Bournemouth or Southampton. It's one thing to expect us to challenge Pool or City in a title bid, but being outplayed and beaten by sides clearly worse than us in quality is down to the manager's mistakes.
December 26, 20196 yr Our performance has been so awfull today that the audience should get their money back.
December 26, 20196 yr We Have Looked Quite Weak Today, Easily Pushed Off The Ball, Can't Win A 50-50 Tackle
December 26, 20196 yr It feels like we could have played for two more hours and we'd still struggle to get a shot on goal.

Has their keeper had a single difficult save to make?! It’s shambolic. It's alright, we gave West Ham's 3rd choice goalkeeper the easiest game of his life.
December 26, 20196 yr Back-to-back home PL defeats for the first time since 2011 when AVB was coaching us.
December 26, 20196 yr Well this is something of a howler. Lampard got three big things wrong today. First sticking to a wing back formation when we had no wing backs available for selection.Second giving Odoi a pity start.Third not correcting his second howler until deep into the second half.At the risk of sounding like a broken record I'd be looking to cash in on Odoi if he has much value left. I'd wager my promise from Bewitched that he will never be anything more than a bottom six footballer. In terms of technical ability and effort I see nothing on him to get remotely excited about. We have Willian, Mount, Pulisic, Pedro and Odoi. Odoi is last pick from that five as far as I'm concerned. I doubt we will see much of him over the course of the season. However wasn't just him today. Only really Mount looked remotely near his best. We've been outplayed by an average team who showed up happy to get a draw before we made it easy for them to turn that into a win.

December 26, 20196 yr I thought Mount looked like rubbish today, over hit most of his passes and pissed away the ball.
December 26, 20196 yr Mount and Willian only work when teams try to play in the back. They need room to run and press.
December 26, 20196 yr the only teams that seem to do consistently well against defend and counter are City and Liverpool - they seem to be relentless, pulling defenders out of position, winning the ball back in the opponent's half. it's a lot of hard work and probably is part of what makes those 2 sides stand out in this league

I don't think we are good enough to get results against these teams and the results are proving that. Regardless of formation and selection we have no strength, guile or creativity. And we've got the shakiest defence since the days of Mickey Droy.
December 26, 20196 yr A complete waste of time. Another pitiful home performance where we could barely test the keeper.
