HHhhhmm. I don't see how he can get the assist for the first goal Jim. One, he didn't make the pass. Two, he didn't get the last touch before the goal.

You are right though in a way. He never seems to get bothered by the ball bouncing off him time and time and time again. Personally I do find humour in watching his efforts to try and go round an opponent from a standing start. It's always the same technique. Kick the ball past and then run into the player. He's not exactly Pat Nevin in his wing play trickery.

Nope - he is rubbish at everything. Dribbling is poor (dont recall him ever genuinely beating a man), pace seems off (not particularly Turbo), first touch almost as bad as the big donkeys, cant pass, cant shoot, and no confidence.... genuinely, other than effort it is hard to disagree that he offers nothing to the team. Quite simply, he is either rubbish, unsuited to the EPL or broken....

.....and yet....he STILL makes things happen, doing so consistently. Much more so than our other attackers up top.

And yes, he got the credited with the assist for the first goal. At least on betting sites who paid out for it. Good enough for me!

Watching Werner last night was torture. One bad touch, followed by another and another.......................

He looked so our of form and lacking in confidence you expected him to be subbed at any time and 9 times out of 10 he would have been. And yet somehow he ended up with a goal and 2 assists, It's a real head scratcher!

In his first season, he made up for his lack of form and ability with his eagerness and running and never give up attitude. Now he just looks inept. Shame 'cos I genuinely like the bloke, but another who needs to be moved on.

Yeah he's trash but gotta get behind him till the end of the season he's a good lad and deserves our backing.

After the way he pulled out of that tackle a few weeks ago, no he doesnt deserve our backing at all.

Looking at the attackers in our team, you’d think we would do so much better if we became a counter attacking team. Lukaku thrived in counter attack system at Inter, Werner is rapid when he’s at it, Pulisic was so so good under Frank. Something need to change.

The current system only suits Havertz out of all attackers imo.

Just when you think he couldn't possibly get any worse he serves up a performance like that. Against Norwich and their buffet back four.

Jesus!

He slowed down so as not to get tackled by Grant Hanley. 0 commitment, even less than Lukaku.

He’s absolutely shocking and under normal circumstances I’d say get rid of him. Sadly we’re not on that boat anymore, all we can do is get behind him and hope he improves.

He should absolutely be the very last resort Dan. Pulisic, Ziyech and yes, even Lukaku should be in front of him. Next up, any promising young forward in the youth team.

ABW............. Anyone But Werner.

We should sell him this summer. Get him off the wage bill. He's useless. Like, there's nothing great about him that a fast Championship winger can't do.

Has to go in the summer, for his and our benefit.

Looks like a sprinter we’re trying to convert into a footballer.

Wrong person in the wrong league, probably needs a move back to Germany.

So fecking poor. I like the effort, honestly I do but he needs to get rid of the funk.

A lot of shortcomings from his game that hasn't been addressed. Can we request a tutor-program from Cristiano Ronaldo or something?

Really poor today again. First touch was as bad as ever, still looks sh*t scared to make a mistake, so always goes for the Wayne Bridge ball (short 2 meter pass backwards to the nearest player).

Even when played in, with a delightful ball over the top, his first touch meant the chance was gone.

Very frustrating, out of form, out of confidence player.

Maybe a loan?

To a PL team. I don't want Chelsea to sell him and then he goes on to score 25 goals a season and we end up wanting him back

He's like a worse Cuadrado.

The sheer gulf in class between him and Havertz was on display when they both recieved a great pass over the top and Werner hopelessly controlled it into Dubravska while Havertz controlled it perfectly and scored.

I'd let him go for £0 if need be to get his wages off the book in the summer.

I’m sure if he played for Liverpool, he would be a world beater. They always seem to sign good strikers. Us on other hand, are clueless when it comes to strikers.

I feel like Werner has even lost the support of fans like myself who have backed him his whole Chelsea career. He’s actually got worse, before hand I loved the energy, enthusiasm and commitment he brought to the team and quite often he created assists because of these qualities and that, for me, helped me look past his shocking finishing enough for me to want him to be a starter. Now all of that has gone, he looks absolutely clueless on the pitch, awful first touch, terrible dribbling and his commitment has drastically decreased.

Seems like a lovely bloke but he is, quite frankly, sh*te and he needs to be shipped out in the summer.

Is it just us that his problem of buying players and normally forwards where their skill of scoring just disappears and they lose belief.

Torres was a huge disappointment yet remember him being used as a make-shift right wing substitute from the bench and he did ok there and battled.

Werner does do decent runs on the ball and finds players it is just his shooting and first touch that are abysmal yet I also fear this time at the club may affect his wider game and  personality if not handled carefully. At least someone can say to him don't worry Salah had a similar problem at SB.
