As for the league title, it’s just so Liverpool to win it in the year that we’re no longer allowed to hug our family, tens of thousands have died and millions face unemployment.

Surely that off the line clearance isn’t our attackers fault, Pulasic  did everything right, didn’t miss any sitters and everything we got in their half was dangerous.

35 percent possession yet 10 on target to their 2 we were very efficient with the ball in their half.

It doesn’t matter as we won but it absolutely is his fault. He had time to compose himself and smash it in to the net. Instead he tried to just roll it in to the goal which gave Walker the time to recover.

Can we avoid saying a kid should start because of one pass in 10m of space against 10 men?

It totally neglects the fact that Barkley, Kante and Mount shut down the City midfield for 90 minutes before then and covered the fullbacks so well to negate City.

Barkley, although he tired, was particularly spectacular tonight. I'm not a fan at all but he was superb. Kante and Mount did less with the ball but were superb without it. Only blemish is the foul from Kante in the lead up to the City goal.

Our midfield was solid throughout. The fouls were because Mahrez and Sterling are professional divers

Every Chanel is doing that

What a fantastic result for us making the CL next year.

I’d also like to highlight just how well our back four played. Irrelevant of City missing Aguero they still have one of the most impressive attacks in Europe.

I thought Christensen & Azpilicueta we’re particularly impressive. Nothing got past either of them all night.

Also, fair play to Lamps because I didn’t think that team was great but that’s been a masterclass, his subs were spot on as well. For all the criticism that team could have scored 4 or 5 in that game.

100%. I’ll probably regret this next time he makes the inevitable error, but I think Christensen is a class act. I don’t disagree with the criticism often levelled at him re lack of physicality, but different strokes for different folks: I feel his qualities are underappreciated. it would be madness to let such a young CB with so much quality and promise go. Fortunately SFL clearly rates him so doesn’t look like that will happen.

Kovacic/Barkley and Gilmour for me for next season. Kante is good as a Deep DM nowadays. Him being too gung ho has left a lot of spaces in behind but him as a DM does a great job.

Would've been great if Pep's teams aren't a bunch of divers

No Mount ?

I think our best midfield right now is three out of Gilmour, Mount, Kovacic and Barkley ... RLC is in the mix when he gets some sharpness back.  Think Kante and Jorginho are bit players compared to what the rest offer ...

Guess we will have to wait and see, it wouldnt have been my choice either, but theres been a few times this season i didnt like the line up,  and we went on and won comfortably.

Just hoping its another one of those!

Guess it was another one of them!

He didn't. Watch the goal again, he fluffed the shot because of he was fouled and tried to steady himself from hitting it first time.

In that situation hitting it first time was the right call. If he steadied himself Walker and Fernandinho would have both covered his angles

Great win! Was losing my mind with all those late chances and no goal. Had to have been something screwy in there with the late scrum in the box. Finally VAR gets one right. Really proud of how the lads played. Frank had them focused and prepared.

Let’s keep that focus and take care of business the rest of the way.

Come on you Chelsea!!

Are we really in the business of saying a player was poor after a win like that having negated one of the best midfields in the world?

Have a beer and enjoy the win.

You mean being objective? Just because you win a game it doesn't mean you can't criticise a player. I can definitely get behind the sentiment of having a celebration, but people complain that whenever we lose all the haters come out the woodwork, wouldn't it be better if people just called it as they see fit rather than jumping on the bandwagon after losses?

I don't see Mount as a midfielder. He's more of a No. 10/attacker for me that does the legwork to compensate for our midfielders who sit deeper to stop counter attacks.

His work off the ball was underrated but great work nonetheless

Watching the match today and could've sworn Liverpool were playing and not Chelsea. Never has a Chelsea win been more bittersweet. Sky, ESPN, and BT all just going nuts over them finally winning a league trophy in 30 years... congrats

Really important and IMO unexpected 3 points today for us. It's a great win for us, let Liverpool celebrate as well who cares we won today we can always say that we decided when they could win the title just like we decided for Leicester some years back.
