It totally neglects the fact that Barkley, Kante and Mount shut down the City midfield for 90 minutes before then and covered the fullbacks so well to negate City. Barkley, although he tired, was particularly spectacular tonight. I'm not a fan at all but he was superb. Kante and Mount did less with the ball but were superb without it. Only blemish is the foul from Kante in the lead up to the City goal. No because Gilmour deserves to play imo, Our midfield tonight wasn't great, Kante was shocking today and looks like he isn't up to full fitness which makes sence because he didn't train as much due to his extended break. Barkley tries but I don't see much from him other than effort which is the bare minimum as a footballer. Gilmour showed before the break age doesn't matter when you are putting in top drawer performances against the beat teams which he did. To say its because of a simple pass or whatever you were trying to make it out to be is ridiculous.
June 25, 20206 yr Pulisic was the difference. He takes his chances and moves the ball fast. When fit he is just about as good as hazard. I thought Barkley was also good and the midfield stayed on the job close to defence running hard all night. Well done boys. Edited June 25, 20206 yr by ozboy

Over hyping the kid.
June 25, 20206 yr Pulisic is turning into a special player. cant wait for next season to see a front three of pulisic Werner Ziyech
June 25, 20206 yr Yeah great result for us that's all that matters. Others can do their thing, we were excellent tonight.
June 25, 20206 yr I am sure Steve Me is dying off jealousy though.. arent Salah, Mane, VVD greater than him then!!
June 25, 20206 yr Christensen for me today with Pulisic. Willian and Barkley were good too. Alonso kept Mahrez pretty quiet. He is doing everything to keep Chilwell at Leicester.
June 25, 20206 yr Im watching McManaman at Stamford bridge gushing over Liverpool now he is on with flower and franks walking about in the background. Not a word about that brilliant game that just unfolded. No wonder people despise the c**ts

Pulisic has shades of Hazard and Gilmour is classy as hell There are a few notable differences though. Pulisic is more direct, but Hazard was a much better passer of the ball. Both of them have great dribbling ability, Hazard's ahead of Pulisic in that area though because of his build. Pulisic is bit more lightweight which makes him slightly easier to tackle.
June 25, 20206 yr I turned it off at the final whistle I knew it would be a total rat muncher love fest the rest of the way.

Instead he tried to just roll it in to the goal which gave Walker the time to recover. Are you joking? He just rounded the keeper while being pushed off balance, he was falling away and from a tight angle and he cut it back then fell over, how does he smash that one in....seriously come on
June 25, 20206 yr I guess I can enjoy the fact that Pool has the most boring title win ever. Stuck at their homes, not on the pitch for a league won months ago before a global pandemic.

Pulisic is a better finisher and has more desire to shoot. And right now it’s goal scoring that’s needed.

While Mount, Barkley and Kante shut down City for 90 minutes. It some times feels like we don't care about what players do without the ball. Barkley was great on the counter.
June 25, 20206 yr 8 minutes ago, Deino said: He didn't. Watch the goal again, he fluffed the shot because of he was fouled and tried to steady himself from hitting it first time. In that situation hitting it first time was the right call. If he steadied himself Walker and Fernandinho would have both covered his angles You’re entitled to your opinion, but I can guarantee he’ll be annoyed at himself for missing as would I in that situation. He had time to take one more step and smash it high. Walker and Fernandinho weren’t getting there.
