I’d also like to highlight just how well our back four played. Irrelevant of City missing Aguero they still have one of the most impressive attacks in Europe.

 

I thought Christensen & Azpilicueta we’re particularly impressive. Nothing got past either of them all night. 
 

Also, fair play to Lamps because I didn’t think that team was great but that’s been a masterclass, his subs were spot on as well. For all the criticism that team could have scored 4 or 5 in that game.

Better team won. Important 3 points for us, just need to do the business at Leicester at the weekend

That is a huge win for us. I think we deserved it, we could have had more if we were more clinical. The defense were rock solid, like watching Chelsea of a few years ago. Christensen and Rudiger can be good together when they use their heads. Azpilicueta and Alonso were good too, Alonso especially after picking up a yellow card early on.

I suspect the rumours about Jorginho this summer are true. I reckon he’ll be off back to Italy and Billy will step in to that role.

I did not expect this result during the first 30 minutes.

When you have a boy that is projected to be the next big thing in the whole game he can make things happen. Massive contribution from Pulisic in his first season at the club. I still don't understand how our tactics were for this game but we used the empty spaces really well, this type of game scenario is perfect for Werner.
