Just judging on their games against Liverpool, rb Leipzig aren’t that good are they? Bayern are tops obviously but do wonder about standard of the Bundesliga...

upamecano has looked a bit clueless.

Didn't watch last night, but I've never been impressed with him.

I know they get all right results but United are so poorly coached it's untrue.

Unless their opponents set up in a way they can be exploited by underdog ball (City on Sunday, us last season) they're clueless and relying on individual quality to get them over the line.

They have enough quality to remain in and around top four but it will never win them a league under Ole unless an ultimate best of the bad bunch season comes about.

That one disallowed for handball was disgraceful.

All of the angles I have seen were inconclusive, so I would love to see what VAR were looking at. It needs to be a clear and obvious mistake from the ref, but from every angle I have seen, I don't know how they can see a clear and obvious mistake there.

There is one angle where the view is blocked by the United player, but you can clearly see the Milan players shirt ripple, which means the ball definitely makes contact with his stomach. But it's not clear to see if part of the ball hits his arm or his thigh.

We've been linked with Franck Kessie and I think are willing to include Tomori in the purchase, I had never seen him play before but what I saw today he is hugely impressive, dominated the midfield against United.

I couldn’t work out whether or not I was impressed, he seemed to dominate midfield and look awkward at the same time. I thought he was man of the match but he’s not someone I’d get excited over signing.

It was the same a few seasons back when Barcelona hammered Liverpool in the first leg, he missed the chance to put the tie to bed, but he shat himself. Every time I watch him, he comes across like a bottler. Spurs material.

He missed at least a couple of clear cut chances and I remember thinking that that could come back to haunt them. That’s the year Liverpool went on to win it.

VAR is a shamble, and its just as bad in Europe, definitely not just a premier league problem.

Chris Wilder is sacked, wow. Absolutely stupid and reckless move by Sheffield, they’ll disappear into obscurity now.

Sounds like he decided to leave. Another Manager who feels he hasn't been backed after doing a good job.

Seemed to do an unbelievable job over many years. I would guess he felt he'd done all he could for the club, so if it's his decision to walk away then it's fair enough. If the board are holding him responsible for SheffU's position, they must be pretty clueless.

Sounds like he has clashed with the new owner of late, the owner feeling his record in making signings recently has been poor, probably the awful form of McBurnie and Brewster not helping there. Appears it might be his choice to leave as well. Given his character and that he is a blade himself I can understand that if he feels his hands are tied on the job he wants to do.

As my second team and my dads team it has been really great 5 years for the club and Chris has done a magnificent job, is a really sad day.

The last time a team sacked a manager who won them back to back promotions was Southampton, and they certainly didn't fade into obscurity.

They spent around £52m net in the middle of a pandemic to add to the £63m in their first season back in the prem, not to mention the loans he's got in from the big six sides or that 12/13 top signings by SHU ever have happened under his watch.

He's been beyond backed. He was given a big kitty to replace Henderson and sort out their problems in front of goal and he has spectacularly f**ked it up.

So... you’re saying you don’t think Sheffield Utd will fade into obscurity?

Chris Wilder has done a fantastic job, let’s be honest that squad is mid championship standard. I agree about the signings though, spending 20 odd million on Brewster is embarrassing.

They might but equally they may find their Roy Keane (who took over at Sunderland after an embarrassing relegation, got them back up and they then stayed their for a decade).

He did fantastic to get them up and then take full advantage of the surprise factor agreed, but then the expectations arrived and he's completely buckled, with those funds he could have built a solid mid table if not European challenging side if the recruitment was right (for example, imagine if they signed Martinez and Watkins instead of Ramsdale and Brewster).

There's only so long you can keep a job solely on credit in the bank.

Wow, honestly the problem with sheffield united is not just one or two players. Most of sheffield player are not pl level player, how they finished 9th last season is beyond me.

Yeah but part of the reason for that is his shocking recruitment Sander Berge aside.

£115m (the money SHU have spent since promotion) could have got them 5,6 possibly even 7 PL quality level players if they scouted adequately. Martinez, Watkins, Lamptey, Eze and Godfrey could have possibly been attained with that kitty, those five (or similar level players) plus Berge and they'd have been laughing.

Crazy how we have all these players and none of them is capable of scoring that McNeil’s goal.

I thought the exact same thing, Mount is pretty much the only player we have who even attempts that.
