What a difference it makes to the confidence having this guy in goal. 

That's how it feels to have a competent GK. He made good saves, and we are no longer in panic mode when set pieces come in, because he's getting hands on everything in his zone.

We’d have conceded at least 3 with Kepa yesterday. It’s unbelievable the amount of saves in which Mendy makes look routine, whereas Kepa would be flapping or conceding. 

I wonder if Kepa watched the game yesterday and I wonder if he hoped Mendy would have a nightmare ?

Agreed.

Amazing how much of a difference a goalkeeper can make to the team. You can even feel through the screen the the players are more relaxed with him in goal. He could be our signing of the summer

I was always expecting him to do better than Kepa. However, I am now starting to think that we might have a world class keeper on our hands.

It is of course too soon to say, but he just makes everything look so easy.

Very assured, relaxed, and quite dominant, excellent in fact

Might just be the signing that has the biggest impact on our season. 

The biggest upgrade out of all of the new signings on what we've seen so far.

He gets down fast and he gets up fast. He's rapid. 

Ive always felt keepers are so difficult to scout. That there are genuine world class keepers around the world that just don't get spotted. 

Mendy feels like we've found one.

Yeah currently he has made an instant impact in goal. And it is no coincidence that our defense seems to be more confident and reassured with him in goal.

Quickly becoming a fan favourite after all the rubbish we've had to put up with under Kepa. 

Pretty much a bargain for what we pay for him 

He makes everything look so simple.

Beyond his attributes, he seems to be a personality on the field also, which we need.  Really becoming a fan favorite.

He is a f**king badass. Love him already.

I also like that he is so tall he makes even Zouma look like a man of average size.

He`s very vocal already which is brilliant to have, Kepa was either silent or meekly asking his defence to do things. A keeper needs to be a d**khead with his defenders at times, dont ask, tell.

I think I read somewhere that Kepa actually was very very vocal but what he was saying had no substance and was annoying the defenders.

I don’t want to get carried away, he could just be an average keeper but because we’re so used to being served up a pile of sh*te every week it makes him look like he’s world class 

Massive improvement whatever the case may be! 

Just goes to show with decent scouting you can find an excellent goalkeeper.

Whoever advised to sign Kepa needs to be fired immediately. Hope is not Marina though.
