Spurs v Chelsea (LC) Tues 29th Sep 19:45 GMT

What does Frank actually coach? We have no attacking system or patterns of play. 5 games into the season and the only team we’ve created a lot against were a championship side with their main CBs out.

Looking at the replay, Zouma and Emerson are the ones at fault for the goal. Zouma misses the header completely (been a problem throughout his career) and Emerson should be covering if Zouma does make the mistake, but as usual, he does nothing.

Wow seeing that replay, Emerson was just casually jogging back to Lamela  instead of busting a gut to cover him. Shameful.

We shouldn't be shocked, it's why we hardly play him. This is on Frank

Our defensive set up is shocking. Frank and his team clearly have no idea how to manage this team from a defensive perspecrive. Oh wait, neither from an offensive one, we look like a bunch of kids who just met in the park and decided to play a quick game. Atrocious

What about this has been comfortable? The second half has been all Spurs? Spurs sat back in the first half and we bossed possession, it’s hardly a surprise. We created nothing other than Werners goal.
As soon as Spurs have starting pressing us in the second half we’ve been second best. It’s not on the players in my opinion. It’s on Frank. We should have moved to a three as soon as it was obvious that they were overrunning us in the centre of the park.

So which is it then? Do we look better because Kante came on? Or did we just concede after Kante came on? You conveniently give credit when it suits you then rip players a new one when it suits you. If Jorginho and Kovacic were still there you would ripping them for us conceding right now.

First half we outplayed them, not a great deal of chances but we still outplayed them.

Yeah, it's depressing really.

We had a comfortable lead, I know you never want to give either of those players credit where it's due. The first half performance was just due to Spurs not stepping it up? Convenient, well looks like we just conceded there, if I use your logic I can now say Kante is terrible because we conceded.

I'll give them credit when it's due but both have been poor despite the possession stats (as they are pretty meaningless when you are creating zero).

Spurs scoring has a lot to do with then bringing their best players on and Emerson's lack of marking and nothing to do with Kante, who has given us a whole lot more than Kovacic managed.

Zouma was also getting loads of praise for his tackle and clearance in the first half (righty so) but it came from him letting the ball bounce and not attacking it and it went right over his head.

Yeah that's absolute bollocks isn't it.

It's the same every single game.

It's becoming a bit tiresome now

Well if you're a betting man, put your money on Chelsea conceding at least a goal every game.  Too many players faded away at the start of the 2nd half and again the attack looked bereft of ideas in the last quarter of the pitch, far too slow, no movement and sloppy passing.
