That's up to Lampard son. You have no say.

The same Frank who only played him tonight becayse every midfielder bar Kante was playing sh*t, then hooked him for being utterly ineffective and saw Chejsea take over again with Kante playing where Jorginho failed.

Frank will have a tougher decision deciding how he likes his eggs cooked.

Score line doesn’t really reflect the game. First 15 mins we were ok but then since the 2nd we were pretty poor. We were fortunate that west ham didn’t make anything of there chances and crosses.

we still are a work in progress by the looks of this.

hope that chillwell, ziyech come back soon

Well, that was a strange game.

Sure we all felt the points were slipping away as our players took it in turns to give the ball away and it seemed inevitable that West Ham would repeat last seasons win. But we hooked Jorginho and the rest is history.........................................

What does his role have to do with his finishing? A chance is a chance.

Werner have killed his own confidence really. Misses more golden edged chances then anyone i can remember bar Morata.

If anything he's just proving why he can't play in the middle because we can't trust him to score.

It's all about preparation and playing your natural game, if you don't feel like it's natural you lose the touch it's a mental game and also maybe some muscle memory and all that stuff.

Playing him so wide has ruined him, he is the guy that loves to shoot on goal a lot, really a lot. He misses a lot but gets into many chances and scores a lot. When he's so far wide he works his ass off for 1 chance, obviously he'll miss it. Don't get it twisted though, Pulisic and Kante should have had an assist each in this game, but Werner's confidence is already shattered.

Super Frank and the team have given us all the best gift of the season 3 points and 3 goals vs the Pikeys with a clean sheet. I’m certain AFTV will be crying into their ? as well come Boxing Day.

You blamed Kovacic when he came on and we lost to Wolves, are you going to give him credit now? Or doesn't it work that way?

I didn't blame Kovacic. I just said he played sh*t when he came on which he did. If you look back at the Wolves thread you'll see I said I thought Kovacic should have been brought on sooner.

Yes he was much better tonight. I'd play him in front of Kante against Arsenal.

What exactly have we done to kill his confidence?  He gets chances to score even when he plays out wide.

How about continually playing him out of position. He is a very pacy striker that is best used when the ball is played into space for him to run on to.  He is playing so deep for us or out wide he is never going to do anything and then when he does get an opportunity his confidence has fallen through the floor.

But hey, it must all be down to the players. They are just prolific elsewhere, or "generational talents" and then decide to turn sh!t when they arrive here.

The only way we will know is when he starts playing as a striker. The misses are poor, I won't deny that, but at least he never gives up like other strikers we have had. That gives me hope that eventually it will start to click with him, but he's got to start playing in the position we bought him to play in.

Mate, it shouldn’t matter if he was playing CDM. Those misses are atrocious and if that was Abraham there would be multiple people on this board telling us that he’ll never be good enough for Chelsea etc. We spent big money on him, whether he’s LW or ST he should be finishing these chances and in all honesty, he doesn’t deserve to start over Giroud or Abraham based on form.

And he can do that as a CDM which he was when he won the ball. Go back to shagging your pie charts.

He played a classic Kante role there, meaning not the Jorginho role. Fact kills your fanaticism.

Fair fair, just trying to catch your logic out. I can at least understand your frustration with Jorginho even if sometimes you go OTT with it. But at least Kovacic covers ground even if he's playing sh*t.
