Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea

Featured Replies

He's carrying Havertz & Mount in attack right now.

By doing that I think he's proving that better players make a significant difference and that another top class forward or two could have us competing.

Excellent to see Sterling off the mark.

Hopefully this puts the ridiculous chatter that's began around him and the system to  bed.

111 premier league goals for a 27 year old winger is exceptional and after 3 games without scoring people are talking about him like he's Christian Pulisic.

A proven world class player that has been the standout player in our attack 3 out of our 4 games this season.  He's our best attacking player and he'll continue to score goals just as he always has.  His movement and anticipation is too good for him not to.

Second goal is brilliant movement. Very good performance. At last on offensive player putting in a shift.

Same cannot be said of Mount or Havertz.

Top stuff from him. I almost liked the second goal more than the first. Little pleases me more when watching a football game than an attacker just anticipating and being in the right spot. Costa used to score tons of goals exactly like Sterling's one today but we have so rarely seen it in recent times.

Hopefully today's two are just the start and there are a hundred more to come.

You don't think we've been competing the past 2 seasons?

I thought he was slightly off in the first half, touches weren’t quite there. But goodness does his ability to make the difference show through. Making runs into the 6 yard box anticipating crosses is exactly what we need.

Love his spirit and fight. When we signed him noted it felt like we had finally backfilled Pedro in the squad (and with no disrespect to Pedro, Sterling is better).

Done what we bought him for, chip in with goals.

We still need another Sterling on the opposite side as well as a striker.

We need the front 3 to all score goals if we are going to make the top 4 this season or have a chance of silverware.

Raheem Sterling (Chelsea): I thought Sterling was starting to lose the fizz he had gained having escaped Pep Guardiola's straitjacket.

His performances since he left Manchester City have been bright and bubbly but against Leeds he wasn't great - and in danger of starting to raise questions about the lack of impact he was having on his new team.

However, I needn't have worried. Sterling got Chelsea out of jail having gone down to 10 men against a Leicester side who have their own fair share of problems.

Meanwhile, Conor Gallagher was brought off against Leeds and sent off against Leicester. I can't imagine what he has lined up for us next week.

For now he's the only quality player in our attack. He needs much more support and creativity to give him the ball to space so he can run at the defence.

I think yesterday he got few wrong decisions but still he was the only player that tried to create something in attack.

So far he's our best signing and provides us what we need from him, but we need more around him.

Keep it up Raheem!

Doing exactly what I expected him to do.

Frustrate at times but dazzle or score goals most of the time.

Problem is expecting him on his own to turn us into serious title contenders.

He’s just someone who will get over 10 league goals this season, we need another player to get 10 to 15 goals AND a striker to get 15+ goals or we will just stay as a cup team.
