Far as Hazard goes he was a wonderful player to watch but no, not at Zolas level imo. Some will likely disagree with that but Zola was Zidane levels of amazing for me.

Numbers should never be retired. Any one player is small fry compared to the bigger picture.

Look at the list of United number 7s for example. I'd be more than happy to see players try their luck with legacy numbers.

I don't Disagree. Zola for me was a little genius and my all time fav Chelsea player. 

Eden was of course a natural magician, wonderful turn of pace and finisher. Arguably a better player than Franco,  but for me, Franco remains king.

Some would argue that point and, as you said, Eden was magic in his own right. 

However Zola could do everything. Free kicks, corners, left foot, right foot and the occasional header.

The only difference between Zola and Hazard was the little Italian wanted to be the best he could be and strive for it every day

 Hazard was incredibly talented but didn't seem to have that immense drive and will to win like Zola, or Ronaldo.

Not sure on the 4 year deal at 31. Should have happened 4 years ago, let's hope its not too late.

Good signing for us, especially to cover Rudiger's absence. Biggest issue is the age, but as I see this, he could play until 34-35, we won't make any money of him, all we need is quality, torphies and good performance. 

I'm happy with this addition, always rated him. Experience, leadership, one of the best CB's in the world.

I do get it. I’m saying I hate it right now but you’re right I probably could be swayed. Especially if it was a Cobham graduate that we were really excited about who’d just had their breakthrough season and done amazingly and had a real attachment to the number because of Zola. A lot of boxes to tick but yeah, 25 is just Zola to me and those are some serious boots to fill.
