Liverpool and Utd used to get refs banned so easily just by asking. The media are picking up on it finally so hopefully this pressures them into action but I expect it to just blow over tbh and he will be there in our next cup final. Difference is when United and Pool do it they are supported by the majority of the media. Normally with us, and I expect this will be the same, the headlines will be something like: "Red rage Tuchel slanders beloved refs name" "Sore loses Chelsea insult the man who saved Eriksons life" Etc.

Everyone needs to sign this and more importantly the club need to make a formal complaint to the FA.

August 14, 20223 yr This isn’t a coincidence. There is serious bias in his referring and there needs to be a level of accountability.

He shouldn't get any punishment and it's a joke that the Premier League shield the refs from any blame. They have a job to do, just like anybody else, and if they mess up, there should be consequences, just like with any other job. I also find it massively hypocritical that coaches are required to talk to the media but at the same time can't be honest with their replies. If they don't like a coach telling it how it is then maybe they should ban the media from asking certain questions.
August 14, 20223 yr Suspended for the AT comment or the handshake with Conte? It's ridiculous because every reasonable pundits would agree AT should skip referring our games for the sake of not turning the game into a circus. Tuchel didn't abuse the referee, he said what needed to be said. Managers are judged based on results, they cop it when it's their faults or the players, why can't they have a say when the referee is costing manager's job?
August 15, 20223 yr Come on people, this is no way to talk about a man with two FA Cup winner's medals. On a serious note, I'm not wild about this sort of conspiracy talk. I roll my eyes as much as the Chelsea fan whenever Taylor is announced as the ref for one of our games, but I'm not sure what we expect a petition to achieve. Best case scenario we look like idiots and sore losers; worst case scenario we look like manipulative bullies or we end up with another Anders Frisk situation.
August 15, 20223 yr If we get Taylor removed, he simply gets replaced by some other bent official ... He is merely a symptom of the disease ... an underling doing the bidding of the real people that need to be taken down ... the PGMOL and beyond that whoever is giving them their instructions.

August 15, 20223 yr When I read what Clattenburg said about referees controlling the narrative of games by decisions I lost last bit of respect for what they do. As soon as AI is ready to referee games I hope it happens. As we all know this type of sh*te sells Premier League like nothing else, it is let go on. Hopefully decisions in the future go our way.
August 15, 20223 yr I just want to get my 2 pennies worth in,I would be happy if Taylor didn't referee another chelsea game again, yes other ref's have given ridiculous decisions against us but with Taylor it's just happened to many times. There is now a history of blatant injustice from him and I would feel happier to never see him referee us again.

August 15, 20223 yr This is the game that first alerted me to Taylor's bias against us, and it was 5 and a half years ago. We were playing Stoke away, under Conte ironically, and we were kicked off the park for 90 minutes, and the ref did nothing, I remember watching in incredulity. The ref just let them do what they want. As you'll see, right at the end, their player gets a second yellow and a red card, but this was with mere seconds remaining, we'd won the game, and as the commentator says, that was the fourth yellow card tackle the defender had committed. What really stuck out was Stoke's two goals, one disallowed and the other a pen which was awarded to them. We go 1-0 up and Stoke equalise but the linesman disallows it for an obvious push on Matic which Taylor "misses". Not content, Taylor runs over to the linesman to seek clarification, something you very rarely see. The linesman explains what happened and the goal's disallowed. Not content, minutes later, Taylor awards Stoke a pen, that none of their players claimed for. This time he sees a push. Watch it yourself. It's the merest of touches, and look at Taylor's position, he's miles away. I remember thinking at the time, this ref's a cheat. A couple of months later, in the FA Cup final, Taylor awarded Arsenal a goal when it was a clear handball in the build-up, right in front of him. Not only that however, they have a player in an offside position who's clearly interfering with play, so much so that Courtois runs towards him thinking he's going to touch the ball. The linesman disallows the goal. What happened? Taylor runs over to the linesman, speaks to him, and gives the goal. You very rarely see a ref run over to the linesman with a view to possibly overruling him but here we see it twice in the space of 10 weeks. For all I know, Taylor didn't officiate any Chelsea games between those two matches, so in all likelihood that's two consecutive matches where the linesman has disallowed a goal against us for clear infringements and Taylor has run over to him with a view of overruling his linesman. These are the things that get missed. People highlight the spectacular errors he makes against us, as they should, but the fact decisions in our favour are under far more scrutiny from him should also be highlighted. Yesterday was incredible. He saw the hair-pulling. It was right in front of him. He was looking straight at it. He was five yards away, if that. It's a straight red. It's an easy decision. Instead he consults his VAR official who happens to be Mike Dean. What could possibly go wrong? I know people might think this is paranoid or conspiratorial but in the case of Taylor it's open and shut. Since Liverpool away last season where he sent off Reece he's been much fairer in our games because he knows he's been called out, but yesterday he reverted to type and I think there's too much suspicion around him for him to be allowed to ref our games. He becomes the focus rather than the game, all trust has been eroded, and I think the authorities need to keep him well away from us from now on. Of course he can still influence our fate by refereeing our rivals and giving them favourable decisions but that's completely out of our hands. Liverpool and Utd particularly seem to do well out of him. It's in our hands to highlight his bias against us. Don't stop until something gets done. Videos like the below need to be shared far and wide and I applaud any campaign that seeks to get him banned from our games. Enough is enough. Unfortunately the video is vertical (it's easier to watch on your phone, as you can tilt it sideways) and I'm not very technical so I'd appreciate it if anyone can make it horizontal, or maybe there's a better video on youtube that I haven't seen. None of the incidents in the game against Stoke got any coverage, because we won the game in the late stages and their player was sent off, so it looks like nothing untoward happened. However the ref cheated us for 90 minutes. Their disallowed goal on 2mins 40secs, their pen on 4mins 20 secs, and their red card on 11mins 50 secs. Edited August 15, 20223 yr by Davey Baby
August 15, 20223 yr I'm equally as annoyed with VAR as i am Taylor. The hair pull is violent conduct with a straight red card and free kick to Chelsea. The off-side is arguable imo. Games run by a bunch of clowns.

I don’t like conspiracy theories either, but when you read what Clattenburg had to say about his refereeing in 2016 at the Bridge against these same dirty c**ts, spurs, you have to wonder if some referees do not like to create drama at our stadium, to set us off so to speak. It’s obvious, from what Clattenburg said, that referees take biased, conscious decisions, and with Taylor it always seems to be against us.
August 15, 20223 yr Taylor will just say he didn't see , it's always the easy escape for refs, but VAR ref Mike Dean ? whats his excuse for not calling it violent conduct ? i would pay good money to put him on the spot and ask the same question. What are his possible answers ? Not enough force ?,....This is would likely be the most obvious answer. So lets go with that. How much force constitutes a red card ? Surely pulling a player to the ground by their hair requires a certain amount of force, and if this is deemed a yellow, when does the red card come out for hair pulling? it can't get any worse in regards of hair pulling, do the refs want to see clumps of hair in a players hand before they are sent off ?
August 15, 20223 yr It's not just that we don't want Taylor to referee any more of our games, we also don't want him being the one in the booth at Stockley Park either. Ditto for Mike Dean btw.
