Anthony Taylor

Is it a conspiracy theory anymore when the likes of Clattenburg and Halsey have admitted to these things happening?

I don't remember the FA doing any investigating after what they said, are they in on it? They know it gets people talking and adds to the drama, so it wouldn't surprise me if they encourage it. If Anthony Taylor see's the foul on Cucurella, then they don't get that 2nd corner in the final minute of the game and the game ends with an anti-climax. English football can't have that, the drama must go on until the last second.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if it was Sky pulling PGMOL's strings ... either that or some betting syndicate in Asia ...

Follow the money, as they say ...

Paul Tierney for Liverpool game as well.

Correct. Klopp accused him of not being "objective" after the Tottenham game in December (Tierney was appalling, to be fair. Should have sent off Kane and given LFC a pen). He got no punishment from the FA, but got the outcome he wanted, and they didn't get Tierney again.

But the Mirror - which is like a Liverpool fanzine - didn't mention that in their article.

The last petition didn't even reach 500.

This article said it got over 80000:

The petition which was started by Chelsea supporters after the match received over 80,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso even liked a picture of the petition on Instagram.

That was after the Reece James red card last year.

I think the thing I'm sick of most is pundits labelling games like this as to why the Premier League is the most unpredictable in the world.

The amount of praise this game got from the likes of Souness and Carragher is astonishing.

I'm sick of poor officating leading to undeserved scorelines being held up as a shining example of English football.

To be fair to Sky, games like yesterday with controversy, niggle, goals and everything are exactly what folk want to see and it does make the PL great viewing.

As Chelsea fans we are gutted and feel cheated 'cos we were the ones wronged, but if we hadn't been involved and one of our rivals had been on the end of the bad calls, would we give a f**k? It's what neutrals want to see. I don't want to see Liverpool or City batter their opponents easily but want to see them involved in games where it all kicks off and they are on the end of bad decisions!

The PL are launching an independant refereeing panel due to what happened yesterday. Not sure what effect that would have, are the PL refereeing panel going to argue with PGMOL on decisions? I reckon VAR should be independant from PGMOL to begin with to avoid corruption.

Has ANYONE come out and said Taylor/ Dean made the right call yesterday? Seems like the whole world recognises it was a disgraceful decision. When even Dermot Gallagher can't defend it, you know it was a genuine, unjustifiable shocker.

I think at the most they will remove the Taylor + Dean pairing and restrict the amount of big matches Taylor will officiate.

The way the FA go about you'd think there is a shortage of officials given the way they are constantly protected.

I'm sure (at least hope) that referee's don't like it when everyone is highlighting their bad decisions. But Taylor is one of only two PL refs who have been selected for this years World Cup, (along with Oliver) so he probably doesn't give a toss. Bad calls like yesterday means he should be penalised and be nowhere near the WC.

There needs to be a petition for Mike Dean to be gone, he is terrible on VAR, at the very least stop him doing Spurs games.

Mike Dean needs to retire already.

So many ex-pros are coming out the woodwork to say just how sh*te Taylor is. It’s nice to see people outside the club actually sticking up for us for once.

links please

The next home game of ours Taylor gets the fans at the ground have a duty to make it as hellish and uncomfortable for him as possible. Protests outside when he drives through the gates, banners in the stands, constant abuse during the match. Let him know that whatever PGMOL decide the fans have had enough.

I’m sure he’ll be even viler and more one eyed than ever

Possibly, but he would be aware that that would only bring him under even more scrutiny. He needs to be made to feel worried about having to officiate our games in the future and the match day fans can play a big part in that.
