I don't blame Tuchel for the midfield. We haven't upgraded that midfield since it was showing signs of deteriation. How many times have people questioned Jorginho's ability or Kante's age/fitness. It's been obvious for a while and the then board did nothing about it. Even under Conte it was supposed to be upgraded with Bakayoko, Drinkwater and Barkley ffs.

I Blame Him For Always Playing Him, Regardless Of System

The thing is if you really listen to his post match comments it's always 'we don't know what to do when we get around the opponents box' 'we didn't take our chances' we didn't do this, or we didn't do that. And unless I misheard between the Leeds and Leicester game, he even said 'I've done all I can'   Its your f**king job mate to get this team in shape and sort the tactics out and what needs to be done when your 18 yards from goal... I'm really tired of his sh*t lately.

lack of precision......

oh yes, look at all those chances we created today, that were just missing an inch of precision. The guy is deluded.

Seeing as Tuchel has a massive saying in the transfer market, I think it is on him. It's been ignored and assumed it will work itself out, but it's already completely backfired. Kante and Kovacic are still injury prone and Jorginho cannot be relied on as a DM. Loftus-Cheek doesn't have the ability, we've known that for a while now.

Gave up on 70 mins. I don't know what is going on this season, but every stream is just garbage and cuts out every 20 seconds. I spent just as much time refreshing and finding news one, as watching the game. Also, we were sh*t, so didn't stand a chance of getting an equaliser.

Also shows how much Kante has carried us for the last 6 years.

Yeah this is an extremely underrated point. Kante and Hazard pretty much carried this team on their backs since our last PL win. Now that Kante is getting injury prone and all our attempted replacements for Hazard have flopped, the cracks are starting to show.

We look destined for midtable, and that with a ton of money spent. Frank was fired for less.

All of them. Frank, Carlo, RDM. This is one of thecworst starts I can remember for "modern" Chelsea.

Season already looks done. When Joe Cole is saying we look poor for Europe we are really in trouble.

Well that was absolutely crap ...

Too many of this lot look like they are just going through the motions to me ...

I think we'll need to be patient. We are having a massive upheaval of playing personal and it's going to take time to integrate the new players into a cohesive unit, while at the same time getting rid of those who clearly aren't good enough for where we aspire to be.

I don’t mind being patient as long as the players are worth the talent. Reason why Chelsea won pervious leagues was because there was talent in the team. Hazard, Costa, Kante, Fabregas, Pedro etc. Players who could create something out of nothing, and grind results. Sad reality is besides Sterling, we lack talented players upfront. Under no circumstances will we ever win the league with Havertz and Mount. They’re not good enough despite what some fans think.

Starting? the whole shebang needs an urgent underpinning!

Shocking display of football. Lacking passion, skill, intensity. Our midfield is so weak, no physically.

So many players out of form or just not good enough. Haven’t enjoyed our football for a long long time and TT must hold some of the blame for not getting our players playing.

Very few players deserve any credit tonight except maybe the oldest man on the field and the one with the hair.

Another minor thing that really f**ks me of is ‘Captain America’ Haha, wearing the number 10. That shirt should be something special but he is embarrassing. I see today that he going to stay. I just wish he’d f**k off; anywhere.

Remember, he had the audacity to say midfield wasn't a priority.

It'll undoubtedly be his undoing.

A lot of us followers have been saying that for years...the midfield has had no real steel or someone that can grab the game by the scruff of the neck since the days of Ballack / Essien et al and for all of Mikel's misgivings he would have performed a far better role than Jorginho does... given RLC's size and strength he should be that player but he just isn't...

He's been sh*t the past 3 seasons, he can't stay fit. When he gets back on the pitch, his lack of match fitness shows and then he gets injured again. He's not carrying us, he is part of the problem. It's not his fault, but it is what it is.

Ever consider his performances might be suffering because he’s played every game for 5 seasons while carrying a certain Italian passenger on his back?

I won’t hear a word said about Kante before anyone addresses the dross he’s been partnered with 9/10 games.

This is on TT tactics all wrong as usual against this type of opposition. If he is the one calling the shots in this transfer window to not improve  the midfield and attack is criminal don't care how many top defenders you buy

Lol. Just one of those periods - away for most of august. Looks like it may have been a blessing

What? Are you forgetting the way he has carried us in every big European game in that time? Madrid tie two years ago is a particular standout. I agree on his fitness challenges though. Seems to be that we are so reliant on him that he is often rushed back in. We are need of a strong DM type very soon. You can't be playing Jorginho there on his own in a back 4. You're asking for trouble. It is either a back 3 with Jorginho or a back 2 with someone else doing the defensive role.

I wouldn't be overly worried though. Hopefully this elicits the right reaction from the new owners and leads to the reinforcements we need.

The manager is useless, half the squad are useless, the new owners are clueless and half the support is blinded by their devotion.

In my opinion, the rot started a good few years back under Roman, as for probably a few reasons he lost the plot. It was going to be a difficult job for new owners to stop the rot overnight, but they so far have failed quite spectacularly.

So this is where we are and we simply just have to become accustomed to it, eventually. The most we can really hope for is to be at least a little bit entertaining to watch as we stagger about in 10th to 5th place. But that seems nothing but a dream right now.

Too many players not performing for him and he can't change it.

Its went stale and we are getting worse by the week. Spent 200 million and don't even have a recognised striker.

Time to go sadly
