And some don’t see a progress and want to sack him. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. When we eventually win will you say that it's not his "fault" either cause he has a 500m investment on top of a top 4 team so scoring is only a natural consequence? Of course you won't. It's just never his fault, when I see who are his defenders I notice he's playing a losing game already, same people that used to bash Jorginho after every game are Potter's biggest defenders.
February 15, 20233 yr We can beat them back at the Bridge. Those chances we missed tonight could go in next leg. It's fine margins at this level .
February 15, 20233 yr Can we scrap everything we do in training and just work on finishing for the rest of the season?
February 15, 20233 yr Dortmund are a good side, better than Fulham, West Ham and Palace, as I said earlier in this thread. Was never a gimme in front of their fantastic fans. Enzo could have decided to commit a professional foul to stop the goal, he did not. Dortmund played their game plan really well. Credit to them. Carefree, walking in a Potter wonderland.
February 15, 20233 yr Despite the loss, this was one of our best performances in a long time. Cant remember the last time we had 8 shots on target. The problem today was clearly the finishing. Team is definitely making progress in the last few games and since the arrival of new players. We are only going to get better IMO.

February 15, 20233 yr Did everything tonight but score unfortunately. That being said, a lot of positives and I am confident going into the second leg with more players coming back and being more match sharp.

February 15, 20233 yr I am so tired of watching this sh*t. We don't score, we never look like scoring, I'm not feeling anything watching these games any more because there just doesn't seem any point in getting excited as nothing ends with a goal.

Only first half down. Been here before tons of times. We won't play anywhere near the same level against Southampton. We put everything into these Champions League games but don't even put in half the effort in the league.
February 15, 20233 yr I hope we don't go chasing after Bellingham in the summer. RLC is offering a very similar skillset to the side, and just needs more game time to move to the next gear.

The thing is we need to act soon, can't allow our season to go from bad to worse. Don't get me wrong, I understand about the 'project' it had to happen. But there has been absolutely no progress whatsoever under Potter. I can't see a shape, a style of play or anything that would suggest we are making progress. ClearLake IMO have chosen the wrong PM for this project and I would guess it was down to ignorance and simply not understanding football this side of the pond. I expect to see more misery being heaped upon us before the end of the season.
February 15, 20233 yr That'll be us out. A team that don't score means end of. When you have played in a match like this against aproper team you can clearly see that this team, as are all Potter teams, completely clueless in front of goal. They haven't the faintest idea what to do. Outside of Felix and Enzo how many other players actually had shots on target in open play. Havertz has to be done surely now. He is no striker, by his own admission, and is nowhere near the same level of the advanced midfielders. More of an entertaining game to watch but ultimately nothing changes. Potter's transition continues at a glacial pace

February 15, 20233 yr Felix should’ve have scored two or three tonight, wonder if the usual lot will moan about that like they do with Mount so often
February 15, 20233 yr No Centre Forward is hurting us If you don’t score you can’t win We have played well otherwise RLC had a good game , Reece is getting upto speed, Chilwell improves us immeasurably Enzo played well but does have a lack of pace Mudryk looks lacking in match fitness, needs to get the simple stuff right KK did well, Silva again in control We are still in the game but we have to score!
February 15, 20233 yr 2 minutes ago, Scott Harris said: We will probably hear the usual excuses "but we played well".......we always bloody do in Europe, the finishing is what kills us and that won't improve under Potter when his teams have a terrible average when it comes to goals. I don't see how a manager is responsible for finishing. A manager is responsible for chances, I get that, but if the players don't put them away is that really Potters fault? His Brighton team just couldn't create chances, until the end when they started to crack it. But the problem we have isn't creating chances, it's finishing them.
