Auba is sh*t mate,.

So are RLC, Ziyech and Havertz

When it's late in a knockout tie and we're desperate for a goal I know who I'd back.

Just read with todays blank Potter has the lowest goals per game of any Chelsea manager in the clubs history.  Having RLC and Ziyech on the pitch when we're chasing a game will do that.

Don't get me wrong, I understand about the 'project' it had to happen. But there has been absolutely no progress whatsoever under Potter. I can't see a shape, a style of play or anything that would suggest we are making progress.  ClearLake IMO have chosen the wrong PM for this project and I would guess it was down to ignorance and simply not understanding football this side of the pond.  I expect to see more misery being heaped upon us before the end of the season.

Will probably turn ugly and we will act in the summer. No idea who we could get in though. Will need to be someone who can manage multiple egos and get the best from a talented squad. We need a modern Jose

This place is becoming toxic with the Potter out whiners.

Yeah I mean what’s the point even if one is deeply unimpressed? It’s not gonna change, beyond any of our control, so then what’s the rationale for engagement on here?

I hope we don't go chasing after Bellingham in the summer. RLC is offering a very similar skillset to the side, and just needs more game time to move to the next gear.

OMFG

..🙂🙂🙂

It was a ridiculous punt tbh. He's not ready for this and with so many big egos and players he will be drowning in that dressing room.

The thing is we need to act soon, can't allow our season to go from bad to worse.

Last I remember, didn't you want Tuchel out too though? I can understand the people who backed Tuchel but don't like Potter because he isn't "elite" even though I don't agree. But it just seems like fans like you want every manager out regardless.

I don't see how a manager is responsible for finishing. A manager is responsible for chances, I get that, but if the players don't put them away is that really Potters fault?

His Brighton team just couldn't create chances, until the end when they started to crack it. But the problem we have isn't creating chances, it's finishing them.

So why the hell did we hire him? Can't get his team to create chances, can't get his team to score goals. Ridiculous to appoint a coach like that in a team already struggling to do both of those things.

What's the point for engagement on an online football forum....

Jesus wept 😆

Ordinarily this is not a bad result in a 2 legs tie, but probably is this time as this time never showed any beliefs to come from behind to win, and where the hell to find the goals? Dortmound gave us the room to play our football, we created some chances but never really hurt them. They could afford to be playing the counter game in the next leg, which will make it more challenging for us. Bring on SouthHampton, we will need every point we could get to finish off the season.

Nah its encouraging because we played well and lost rather than sh*t and lost.

Hail the new era

When we won at Villa but would have got battered but for Kepa we and Potter were rightly criticized for it.

Why can't it work in reverse?

You can’t praise a manager for losing a football game to Dortmund.

One of Potter's few victories.

There has been nothing to show any signs he has what it takes to manager a club of our stature and size. In fact it looks every bit as disastrous as AVB back in the day.

We could throw another 200 million at it and watch us struggle to scores against just about anyone we play.

Its not working and in reality it was never going to. Such a bad choice for us

So was it a mistake to pick Felix/Mudryk/Enzo ahead of Badiashile?

Not by Potter, he simply doesn't make mistakes. When two equal teams meet, he only loses due to trying his best, the tactics and setup clearly don't make a difference here.

You can't just rely on a centre forward to score all the goals and bring everything to life. We create a lot of chances for ourselves when we have attackers in the mix linking up, put Auba in there and you don't get any chances.

The centre forward is becoming quite traditional in this day and age also, there's just something wrong with this team when it comes to finishing chances. I have no idea why, it's been like this for 4 seasons now, a centre forward isn't going to make all our goal scoring problems disappear, we need the others to score goals also.

Been here before tons of times. We won't play anywhere near the same level against Southampton. We put everything into these Champions League games but don't even put in half the effort in the league.

That is pretty natural. Players can't see any reward in winning in Prem. They want to win 99.99999% as winning is much nicer than losing but that is it. Same goes to any top team that has given up on title that they thought they could win.

In Champions League they can smell the cup. They are winners. They put in that extra for it.

On top of that Champions League football is much more fitting to these players than up and down rapid paced Prem. Koulibaly looked right at home for example.
