February 20, 20233 yr For me one of the positives right now is Joao Felix, watching the way he strides with the ball it's beautiful definitely impressed me, I was skeptical about the signing with all the finances involved for a loan but boy can he play. Having a real talent in the squad just spreads belief and had he been a bit more clinical mid week our progression to the next round might have felt a little more secure. Good chemistry with Kai which is good to see, speaking of Kai another positive was his and Sterling's link up vs Southampton. Sterling back fit is a positive and I'm hoping he will really kick on with Felix and Havertz and Mudyrk. Speaking of Mudyrk he's been slightly quiet since his promising cameo I suspect once the ring rust wears off we'll see a very good player.
February 20, 20233 yr Agree, Felix is getting our attacking move tick along, which is why was so infuriating we didn't unleash Felix\Havertz\Murdyrk from the start against the worst team in the league last weekend. For the remaining of the season, play Felix\Havertz\Sterling as much as could, think the movement of these guys will be our best chance.
February 20, 20233 yr Kepa is ranked as the best keeper in the league. Our defensive form has been solid We have a host of young exciting players on long contracts. Jorghino is gone and we got a decent transfer fee for a 30+ player with 6 months left on his contract. The ownership has a plan and seems to be sticking to it. We have been better in recent games (1st half at the weekend excluded) and think we are a goal or 2 away from clicking and going on a we run. Even if we do go down City will be playing in league 2 so it will detract from the stick.
February 20, 20233 yr For me my optimism is that the new owners seem to be willing to do whatever it takes to get us back to the top and we've signed some brilliant young talent. If it doesn't work out with Potter those young talented players will still be here.
February 21, 20233 yr I'm really optimistic compared to this time last year when we had our club taken of us.
February 21, 20233 yr I keep being optimistic about every game with all these exciting new players.......and then I watch the game.

February 21, 20233 yr We have a great squad, great owners, great fans and a lovely stadium(that needs expansion)
February 21, 20233 yr That god awful 3 sponsor will be gone by the end of the season, suppose there’s that.

February 21, 20233 yr Only reason for optimism: 1. Every loss makes Potter's sacking more and more likely

Every loss makes Potter's sacking more and more likely The really sad thing is that some so called "supporters"on here would happily see us lose to our biggest, fiercest rivals on Sunday if it helps get the manager out of the door. They don't have the bollocks to come out and say it openly, but I'm certain they're here. Crossing their fingers and hoping.

So you see it doesn't matter if he wins the league with Arsenal or not, he's top 4 quality which is something that our current manager doesn't grasp, it's an unknown dimension for Potter which is hard to explain, it's like he's a straight line on a piece of paper that doesn't understand what 3d is, it's outside of his whole worldview. There are levels in this game and even the fact that Potter won the lottery by having this job at CFC, it won't matter if he doesn't have what it takes, in real life there had been lottery winners that squandered it all too in due time and stayed miserable regardless, I'll have a reason to see some kind of optimism if he beats Conte, let's see if Potter can stop the rain...

Few errors there mate. Fixed them for you. Another reason to be optimistic. Gol did not leave our form only our club 🙂
