So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!

I am pretty sure Eden would be or would have been better if he trained better and involved in the tactics but I love his approach to life and football. For him football is about fun and nothing else. We should all probably try to learn from the little Belgian magician.

I love the fact he was left alone because everyone knew he would produce on the day. Even Jose left him alone and probably Conte too 🤣.

Think Hazard heard Poch is really good with BBQ, may order an extra ribs or two😅 Hazard and Pep would be a bad fit, Henry never hit the height under Pep despite a good trophy haul , because he's been told he has to change to adapt the system, not the other way around

He would have hated playing under Pep. Pep drills players, programmes them*. Anathema to EH.

*I don't think his programming has improved or helped Jack Grealish in the slightest.

Guardiola makes players boring. They're very effective, but also very boring to watch. I won't deny that he revolutionised the game like Wenger and Mourinho once did, but I'm not a fan of it. It's made football less exciting to watch.

His Barcelona team was hideous to watch at times, no risk football, all about keeping the ball, starving the opposition, give it to Messi.

Possession with no purpose is what makes it boring. I never thought Pep's Barca was boring, I found Spain 2012 under Del Bosque boring. Horrible in fact.

As efficient and effective as Pep's football is I genuinely think he has had a negative effect on football as a whole in terms of this style where every player is a slave to the system. Hazard would have been absolutely wasted in a Pep team.

You could argue this type of football started with footballing purists like Aragonés and Bielsa. Pep just took it to a next level.

I always thought Pep revolutionized football for the better and for the worse.

Agreed. And without a fortune to spend. Love to see if he could achieve something like Mourinho did at Porto. Not sure he would.

His city team from 2 years ago was unwatchable. Last year they got Haaland so they are more interesting.

The same thing with his barca team, all I want is for barca to give the ball to Messi.

Not sure why he couldn't do what Alonso or to a lesser extent De Zerbi is doing.

Some managers just have it, have that ability to deliver on the most difficult moments and being home trophies.

Pochettino,  imo, just is not one of those managers.

Based on his spurs career, probably yes. But he won 3 trophies at PSG (meaning he won what he should have).

Still think that Poch is the right man for now. He’s good at building squads and young players. This squad is a minimum of 2 years away from being a top 4 team.

Is this genuinely the first Trophy Pochettino could win in his managerial career? Tried to find some info on it. This is why I think we are even more behind Liverpool in terms of chances of winning it although it is just one game.

He has won with PSG yet never won anything in England.

Barring an amazing run in the league or winning the FA-Cup, he will not survive losing to Liverpool U-21 in a final. Felt like make or break for him, unfortunately this was a rather unforgiving performance - although we COULD have won it in 90 minutes

This guy ain't it. He is the most Tottenham of Tottenham coaches you will ever see. A serial loser, totally out of his depth with his in game management, always makes us worse as the game goes on. People had a go at us that complained about him getting a draw at City, but this is why we did, because every time we are looking on top, he throws a spanner in the works that leads to us losing control and conceding a goal.

Mourinho's old quote is perfect for Pochettino, he's a specialist in failure.
