Utd played well today with a lot of discipline, the problem is they cannot play like that at home due to their fan base.

City were poor for me neither Foden or De Bruyne could do any thing to open Utd up.

Haaland struggled too.

I'm not only gutted that we miss out on Europa, but how have that god awful, sack of sh*t team won the FA Cup. They were so lucky vs Coventry and then they get to play a hungover City. They are the jammiest of jams.

It highlights the importance of the Champions League.  The team that wins the Champions League is the best in Europe as that competition gets harder  each step. This FACup nowadays.  Mugged off Coventry to squeeze into a final. City shouldn't have even been there if it wasn't for us being so sh*t in front of goal.

Let's see how our clowns put the positive spin on us now playing in the European Johnstone's Paint Trophy. If we don't cop a massive fine or ban we'll have to win it sk that it just about covers the compensation for bloody de Zerbi. Football is sh*t lately.

We need the Conference League to have the full set. Come on Chelsea!

100%, Gilchrist, Casadei et al can lead us to the one trophy we’ve never won!

Yes!!! So many positives from this result.

1. We win the Europa Conference we are the ONLY team that can truly say... "We've won it all".

2. United might keep Eric Ten Drag.

3. Keeps the old debate alive... "Pep. Is he really all that?"

Chelsea. Europe here we come!

Pep picked the wrong team today, WHY change both Ch’s? Also think he should have started Doku and Grealish instead of Silva and Kovacic, no width in the first half, think Silva and KFB could have played their last game for City

Hate to say it, but fair play to Manchester United. Didn’t think they were a chance.

Bit annoying we’re playing in the Conference League next season, but at least we can try and win the full set in Europe as @carrickblue mentioned.

This is the kind of stuff that make me unhappy with the current coaching market

Burnley unlike Sheffield n Luton, had the finance and the personel to stay up last season but because Kompany wanted to keep his cv nice and pretty as this tippy tappy coach, Burnley had no chance from the get go.

Burnley got relegated and Kompany got Bayern job 😠😠😠

Have to say Ampadu has been brilliant in this game. Seems to have been around for a while but he is still only 23. I feel we might have been too hasty in getting rid of him.

Nuh. He's a good Championship level player. Let him be.

Ha ha, f**k off Leeds....

You can't rely on one player - Somerville - week after week. That, and a wayward defence, was always going to find them out.

All I saw was the same failings, chasing balls like a headless chicken, leaving massive gaps, diving in unnecessarily...

Conference League it is then. I don't mind either way, I would have taken any European football after the season we have had.

It's the only European trophy we haven't won yet on account of the fact we've never been in it until now.  It would be quite an achievement to be the first club to win every European trophy. Clutching at straws here 😉

Story tonight that Man United could be "demoted" to the Conference League because their owners INEOS also own Nice who have also qualified for the Europa League. No idea what that could mean for us if it happens

I really don't like multi club ownership and I'm amazed that this has been allowed to continue in football.

They focus so much on FFP, but I think multi club ownership is a much bigger issue.

The City group own or partially own 13 clubs.......I can't understand how UEFA, FIFA etc can look at that and be okay with it.

There should be a rule in place that if you own multiple clubs you cannot play in the same competition. Even if it's just a 1% ownership, even if you try and get around it by funding that club through a different name. It shouldn't be allowed. It puts a question mark on the integrity of the competition.

Man City and Girona should not be allowed to play in the Champions League next season. It should be one or the other.
