July 28Jul 28 Not for me.Leaders shouldn't be hypocrites.Gave it the big one supporting LGBT, then suddenly Saudi waved a bag of money in his face and he's off to a country that kill the people who claimed to be an ally of.How can you respect someone and seek leadership from someone with such flexible beliefs

July 28Jul 28 Henderson is old enough that he and Alonso were probably teammates at Liverpool. Would be nice to have a player in the squad again who is older than me.Other than that, dumb decision. If we're that desperate for a token elder to set standards and jump around the touchline in clown makeup we should have got Thiago back.

He's effectively going to be a mascot and will probably never see any meaningful mins on the pitch. With that logic, we can never question or criticise any managers decision.

To me it's a low risk signing. Free transfer, bags of experience/leadership and still has legs to do a job on the rare occasion he is needed on the pitch.

This will be a horrible signing, a complete waste of time, just like with Tuchel taking him to the world cup.Why was that a waste of time? England got to the semi finals. The squad was united. Not a single bit of noise came out of the dressing room throughout the whole tournament. Probably our most scandal free tournament in history. Henderson isn't being signed to win the game on the pitch.

July 29Jul 29 This genuinely is an advert on my screen in the middle of this Henderson threadAlthough i am not sure if this an algorithmic comment about him or about me to be honest!

I'm guessing maybe Alonso second choice after Xhaka no-go
July 29Jul 29 There is a clip circulating of Rogers and Bellingham telling a reporter about the impact Henderson has had on all of them. Again, this makes much more sense if he will be getting a coaching role the following season.

He's not useless. He's a solid reliable 6/10 player who you could bring on with 10 minutes to go to see out a game. And he will work hard in training, he will lift everyone else, he will lead by example.
July 29Jul 29 Not sure how good Henderson is at closing games out or what his influence could bring, but worth remembering we've dropped the most points from winning positions in the league.

July 29Jul 29 Terrific, a 6 out of 10 midfielder. In his prime. How about we get some cheerleaders with Pom poms on the sidelines??If JH can get a game in our midfield next season what have we become people. That’s the engine room, where a lot of games are won and lost. The scousers got rid 3 yrs ago….. why ain’t he still there if he’s sooo influential? If you want a coach/cheerleader sign one, if you want an experienced pro get one that can actually influence the game on the pitch. If JH is going to make players train harder what are the coaches doing?Let’s stop……. Nobody but nobody wanted JH, now he’s coming let’s stop pretending we’re happy this is Arsenal fan sh*t.
