He's not going to come out now and say he's not signing now is he, I think he will sign once he sees in direction we are going in once he sees Sarri staying more than one season

rumor is - hes gonna sign on for 300K a week soon, but there will be a buyout clause of 200M IF CFC dont qualify for CL

just speculation really, but if it happens its good for the club, guarantees a big fee if he agitates to move next year

I think that came about as someone proposing a theoretical idea for a contract that Eden might sign.

I don’t believe there’s any truth to this as English clubs rarely include buyout clauses in player contracts.

Maybe Roman can loan one of his brothers to a Russian club and maybe he disappears until Eden re-signs.....

 

I mean if our new stadium is being put on hold because Roman is an evil Russian Oligarch then we might as well get some value/mileage out of that..... 

A very important day for this saga is coming. Uefa is about to force PSG to sell Neymar or Mbappe till the end of the window due to the financial fairplay. We gotta accelerate the process too whatever is up to us. 

In an ideal world PSG are forced to sell and Madrid come in for one of the above, but no doubt Uefa bottle it and let PSG do as they please

That would be a fair i think, 200 mill is a good price for him. He proved he is a good professional, if Real can afford him and we don't make it to the UCL. Still if he stays at the club beyond next season i don't think he will have a chance of a big move at 29.

If you count PL only, otherwise he doesn't even make the top 10 yet. He will soon though, Barry Bridges had 80 in the league and Eden should pass that this season hopefully.

Oh and if we just count all goals instead of only league goals, Eden only needs 4 more to get into the all time top 10. Bridges again on 93, and Eden has 90 already.

Tbf that's a pretty good measuring stick, the last 26 years of league football, with all those multitudes of World class players we have brought in over that time, take away the cups and Europe which can dilute the stats some, the league is the true measure, a hat trick against any league team is worth two hat tricks against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Ah sorry, I meant if you count PL era only. There's still 10+ players all time who have more than 70 league goals.

If this was Conte's team, he would have subbed Hazard off when we took the lead. It was one of the things I hated about Conte's management. If we had scored or needed a goal, he would often take off Hazard to save his legs. Sarri is different though, he keeps Hazard on, and it's the right thing to do. You want your best players playing against tired legs, not subbed off with 15 minutes to go.

Hazard looks motivated at the moment. He’s not fading, keeps trying up to the end to influence attacks. 

Could be a big season.

Hahaha I said exactly this! 

When the whistle went I was frowning because I knew Hazard was coming off, but then I forgot that Conte isn't here anymore, then Pedro came on for Willian. Hazard has very good cardio and has never had stamina issues, that guy can play for 90 minutes no problem. It really used to annoy me so much when Conte would sub him off all the time.

We need him, sadly once again he's playing with limited players around him, Pedro & Willian are highly inconsistent and Morata is useless at the moment. We need Hazard to bail us out yet again. 

He’s still out of shape and didn’t play his best game today. Speaks volumes for his talent that he found himself a Goal. The left side is playing real well together...hazard kovacic and Alonso. Very well rounded and balanced.

TBF, When Jose was here, the argument was "why don't we take Eden off when we go in front? Why is he playing 90 mins every week?". 

I'm with you tho. If you had taken lampard off with 70 mins played at 2-0/3-0 then he'd have complained. The very best players (which Eden is among), aren't getting subbed off regularly.
