The John Terry Appreciation Thread

Featured Replies

If he was in the Jose Out camp then id be very torn. But I dont believe he was, he knows what's good for the club and he must recognise that Mourinho needed backing. I tihnk his lack of leadership is down to the fact that he had so few comrades in his corner to help weed out the dis-loyal and unprofessional players from the squad. In the old days he had a number of other players to listen to him and relay his messages to the rest of the team. When you have 24 guys who dont care about the club or want to listen to the captain then you cant blame him for not being able to rally them around Mourinho.

But who knows. It does look like poor leadership from him on the basis of what we have been able to witness

Very disappointed in JT.

I feel he hasn't done his duty as captain this season at all well. Maybe he knows his time is up at the club but he's now lost the manager who in retrospect brought him back to his fantastic earlier years, almost built the team around his lack of pace.

No messages on social media from him, infact barely at all this season. I love the man with all my heart, but it's not only his form which has been poor this season, it's his leadership as well.

Terry has openly said praised Mourinho a few times this season. When he was dropped a few months back, he said he would throw himself under the bus for Mourinho,

Are we really questioning his role due to a lack of activity on social media?

Does his talking on the pitch and not on the internet, maybe a few more lads should follow suit?

Still is and forever will be the Captain, leader and legend.

another body to blame.. ok.. give you lot some time to cool your head, if it still persists after couple of days then just deal with it until jose finds his new job so you lot can be reunited..

Christ I wish idiots would stop writing this kind of tedious, moronic nonsense.

idiots? a bit rich coming from you.. never mind, now jose is gone, I expect 99% of your posts here would be negative.. typical jose fanatic dimwit

The one who needs to f**k off is the JFD like you people actually, he's gone so just deal with it.. instead of posting the sh*tty posts about chelsea, blaming everything possible out there, taking on people who's not worshipping your idol, why don't you try to get behind the team who's starting the recovery if you're so much of a chelsea fan?  argh.. I guess it's futile.. sooner or later you all will get bored and dissappear anyway.. I'd rather focus on how chelsea getting back on track rather than you lot, no point beating a dead horse..

Who said that? I simply mentioned he's been very vacant on social media this season in comparison to last which is 100% true.

Lets be honest, his leadership during this season has been poor. Look at his reaction when teams score against us? Not that of a captain. Haven't seen him lay into any of the players on the pitch either. He knows his time is up and when he leaves, I will be more gutted than anyone but lets not pretend he's been vocal/good enough on the pitch because he hasn't.

He wasn't one of the ones "against" Mourinho though, that's for sure.

LOL Pot calling kettle black or what?

Now that Mourinho is gone, are you going to stop posting or will they become less than 99% negative?

A curious case where hate of Mourinho seems to supersede any feelings toward the actual club.  Was it his picking on Wenger that did him in, in your books?

you can laugh? I thought you're in super sad mood crying now.. oh speaking of negative posts, what have you and your fellow JFD been doing since jose was sacked?? Now that's really what pot calling kettle black is all about..

Not that sad.  Just laughing at sad things.

Not happy Mourinho is gone, but unlike some posters here, actually support the club even when it makes mistakes.

What is it with Crooks and his constant digs at Terry? Every single time he picks him in his team of the week he always gets a cheap shot in, guys a roaster.

"Outside his football exploits I have very little to say about John Terry"

I think suggesting that there were possibly 24 players who didn't care is a load of bull. You're making him out to be some kind of martyr the only one backing the commander in chief.

Still remember his rant last season after we won the league about our "Style" of play and how the team is not up to the standards of United & arsenal of yesteryears.

Also the hypocrisy of calling out (Not sure who) when they mentioned Vardy is not World class (After he equalled RVN's record) and saying this is not the right time to piss on someone's parade.

Absolute Tool

24 is an exaggeration. it wasnt supposed to be taken literally. but i do think there were a large number of players who didnt care enough
