Diego "the guv'nor" Costa

Featured Replies

Diego Costa: "I'm targeted here, by the referees, the people… if I do something, it’s totally different than if any other players do."

Diego Costa: "It’s something I have to deal with and I ask god that these things don’t disturb me."

Costa is worried about the sequence of games being taken from him by suspension, and made a point of saying he loves Chelsea fans.

He's right he is targeted, it's been this way since his very first game for the club when he was booked for diving against Burnley. Costa didn't do anything wrong in the game against West Ham, it's like the refs were using him as an example with the new rules.

Well, apparently dissent is the new thing in the PL. and what better player to get a point across to the league as a whole than Costa. If we are going strictly by the book, he deserved a sending off yesterday. I am a huge fan of his, but he needs to know when to turn it on and when to lay off. First game though, derby at home...eh I don't blame him too much.

Hahahah. The above couple of posts were brilliant.

"Aguero missed 2 penalties. Haha"

60minutea later - scores a hat trick to shut up the trolls.

By the way, it's TC all over again. Some people never learn

Penguero with 2 penalty misses!  :laugh2:  :laugh2: what a finisher  :laugh2:

This Steaua team are awful! if Aguero cant even score in this game...

Aguero hattrick! surely wont play against a worse defence this season! with better finishing he would have had 6 tonight!

I see, still desperately trying to make your point, btw what's the point?  I take it you prefer costa and somebody else prefer aguero and that should be all..

Not at all, i have nothing against Aguero, I have always been a fan, but for me Costa is the best finisher in the PL the stats back that up also, Aguero penalty misses and the fact he should have scored 6 with better finishing was hilarious though.

Off course hes targeted and rightly so, he painted that rather on his back himself. The refs will always be less lenient with a player of Costas history, he will always be under extra scrutiny, its just the way is.

We all love Costa because he plays for Chelsea but let's face it, if he played for anyone else he would be a complete c**t!

And as much as we back Costa because he is our man, any Chelsea fan who seriously wouldn't swap Costa for Aguerro if they had the choice has to be completely delusional.

Tough sh*t as far as I'm concerned. He made his bed and now has to lie in it. It's no different from how Young got targeted at United for his constant diving or how Suarez got treated at Liverpool.

If it really bugs him then he should clean up his act.

He made his bed before his first game in the Premiership? Impressive. He was booked for diving in his first game, which wasn't a dive. It was a joke. As for being targeted he gets stick for the things he does and at times rightly so. What's annoying is many others do similar or worse and don't get anywhere near the same crap.

Not worth it. Apparently costa was also the 2nd best striker in the world!!!  :laugh2:

what a whiny little bitch, hey maybe if you're not dumb enough to try some flashy fake out when you cant dribble for sh*t this wont happen

link please

Exactly.  I've said it before, but he gets wild at something and you have pundits claiming that other teams should be calling the FA to issue retrospective bans!  I have never seen prior, or since, a TV pundit suggesting such a thing.

Also, we've seen him get in a referee's face, and he is suddenly a monster!  Yet Rooney does it, and they talk about his passion and his early years of boxing and how you wouldn't want to mess with him, etc.

FInally, I've never seen entire pages dedicated to (insert player here)'s Crimes.

He has done little to help the situation, and I hope that the new rules help calm him down.  However, I do feel that he is being used as the pantomime villain for a lot of press and pundits alike.

Why are the back pages filled with Costa's tackle... What about the blatant f**king dive of Carroll, that was one of those 'why do players do that' moments, an absolute f**king disgrace, and something that REALLY should be removed from that game.
But,, Carroll has got away with it, nothing to do with it being against Chelsea of course.. Imagine if a Chelsea player had done that ...

Despite the unfair furore over the tackle, Costa's behaviour is still the reason for it, and he has no one to blame but himself.

Because Carroll is English.  Same way as you'll rarely see Rooney booked for dissent.  I remember him going off at a ref once...possibly Mike Dean... and the ref actually called him over by saying "Wazza...." and beckoned him with his hand to come over and have a chat.  Rooney was still going nuts!  But seriously, a ref calling a player by their colloquial name like that left me feeling that at times the refs want to be their mates.

Uh, no, no player should ever be targeted, no matter how much of an ass they have been in the past. If referees can't be professional and just assume some player is doing something wrong, then they shouldn't be in the job. They should be making decisions from what they see, not what may have happened. And how is Young targeted ? he dives and get's punished for it, you don't then see refs never giving any foul against him again and you don't see the media and pundits go on and on about it every single time like they do with Costa.

Exactly. And look at Fellaini and Rooney, those 2 are always acting like dicks and get away with it all of the time.
