He is a world class manager and we are lucky to have him. I would give him one more season and buy him his players.

This is not a dig at you, but I wouldn't buy a girlfriend an engagement ring when she has already told me she won't be with me long term, so I don't think it's a good idea to buy him players when he won't commit long term.

Yes he is a great manager, but a great manager who does not seem to want to be here.

For all those praising our back-to-wall tactics against Liverpool last match, this is what it feels like being clueless and relying on a mistake to score a goal.

Conte's  best tactics is sitting deep and hit on the counter, in the absense of that we looked clueless and hopeless. This is not how Chelsea FC should be known to be playing football.
Even with the ball we seem devoid of ideas and cant seem to know how to break tight defences.

Mistakes must be accepted, I still believe that he deserves another chance with us, next season when he will build his team with his players.

But today's decision is making me crazy. So important game, we are fighting for our CL spot, Conte decides to rest Hazard, Courtois, Moses, even Bakayoko who was excellent against Liverpool, Giroud. And kept playing with poor players like Fabregas, Pedro, Morata, Zappacosta.

Just one question, why?

Everyone makes mistakes and everybody accepts that. What people don't understand is how someone can keep making the same mistakes, he is just too stubborn or just not a top manager to be able to learn from his mistakes. The game tonight showed everything that has been wrong with Conte all season, it being the 2nd to last must win game and he is still showing no signs of improvement or changes in his management.

It's shocking how a coach can get so much right in one season and then so much wrong in the next season. I never expected this season to be easy, but i thought Conte was tactically good enough to get the best out of the squad, but he just keeps making these odd decisions.

Last season his subs were good, his starting line up was good, he used Fabregas in a way that got the best out of him, we weren't playing such sh*te football, the defense was more organised, the tactics and formation as a whole looked more balanced........but all of this has gone to sh*t now, nothing is working, we don't even know how to attack teams.

We didn't create enough real clear cut chances tonight. There doesn't appear to be a pattern of play when we get up front, it just seems to be hopeful flicks. When we do get down the byline and behind opposition defence, the forwards make runs in the box, but we don't cross first time we cut inside again, frustrating

i just wanted him to try something different this season. start games with 4 at the back or something. not the same old, same old. huddersfield would have prepped for that. we are so predictable. we also end up defending with 5 and only having 3 genuine attackers. who knows whether things would have changed, but at least it would have showed he was willing to try something else.

As good as im sure he was for us, lets not forget he was here for the duration of 15/16.

Here is my take on this manager.

I can accept that i say and write irrational and sometimes ridiculous comments when i lose, because i am a bad loser. I get that. However, in my head, which granted may be a dark and murky place, i think that i can accept losing. If my team is not good enough ultimately i can hold my hands up regardless of how much i am raging and burning inside.

What i cannot take, cannot abide is cheating. I'm competitive, yes i hate losing, but i'm competitive and the competiiton has to be honest. Cannot stand cheating and cannot abide cheats. Fck it have the ball, the trophy, whatever if its so important you have to cheat.

For me the conduct from this manager this season has been tantamount to cheating. The way that he has played the media throughout this season, at the cost of the players, the board and ultimately RA is disgraceful. I said a long while ago now that one thing this guy is good at is media manipulation. Having eventually cleared his name after the Juventus corruption scandal and thensubsequently ultimately failing with the Italian national team, one thing Conte knows about is the importance of his image.

Goading the board to sack him, throwing the team under the bus on countless times with his selections, tactics, shocking in game decision making has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Looking backwards from this point and viewing the numerous issues that have arisen and been publicly aired since he didn't get his transfer targets in the summer is a clear indication to me that this guy has cheated the club, cheated his players and cheated the fans throughout this season to either prove a point or manipulate situations to massage his own ego.

I think he is poisonous and frankly i can't wait to see the back. I still wouldn't sack him though. I would appoint someone above him that he had to report in to and then i would undermine him constanty (like not allowing him to speak to the press, having the director of football do it) until it starved him out

This is exactly why people want conte gone. I honestly think he is massively overrated but I’m willing to concede if proven otherwise. The guy is stubborn and makes excuses over and over. It’s getting embarrassing. Like forget the history of the club, forget where we cane from and forget Roman.  It’s getting embarrassing with conte at the helm and I simply cannot stand it anymore.

Well put. ::clap2::

By the way, what exactly was his reasoning to rest Hazard and specially Tibo. The GK was exhausted too?

I am tired of him and his boring football. However the way he as acted does not deserve reward.

Let him see out next season. Board can sign players for the long term and our new manager in the 2019-20 season.

Such a shame we can't get rid before cup final, as we all know what's going to happen, Jose won't need one of his tactical master classes to beat this predictive manager in cup final. Some will say who do we bring in? Lamps, drogs, Jody Morris, anyone who cares really and has an ounce of tactical know how. To think I, like many on here have spent 100's of pounds to watch this dross at Wembley a week Saturday. More I think of it, this manager got lucky last season, stumbled over a back three after getting mullered 3-0 at half time at Emirates then we went on a 13 game winning streak while teams worked out our formation, since they have worked it out, Conte doesn't have an answer, or his luck run out and he can't stumble over any other tactic. The rotten apple needs removing and quick.

I wouldn’t stick him on garden leave and let Jody coach the team for the remaining two matches. There’s no way we’re winning the FA Cup final with him in charge.

Hes a one trick pony if you ask me as soon as his 3 at the back formation wasn’t working this season he’s been clueless. He’s blamed everyone but himself whenever something’s gone wrong as well. Can’t wait to see the back of him and his negative attitude.

Technically United are the best big opponents we can have as we have looked a lot better in the head to heads since Conte and Jose came in (infact i don't think we have ever outplayed United as much as we have in some of the clashes), but at the same time Jose's cup final record is so good for a reason.
