Think we will keep him to Xmas yet if nothing of substance materialises I think it is likely he will become part of the loan army. Bit dramatic when he’s had a year long injury and clearly isn’t up to full match fitness... oh and he’s 18 years old! Judge him next season, but I’m confident he’s not going anywhere anytime soon. In regards to him not doing anything, he came off the bench against Norwich and done well playing on the left - looked a bit like his old self.

July 16, 20206 yr Just now, RIP Mourinho said: He's 19 now, SELL IMMEDIATELY!!!!! My mistake! You’re right, he’s past it now. No chances he’s making it anymore if he’s 19! His time has been and gone, wish him the best at Barnsley!
July 16, 20206 yr Not playing on a regular basis at this stage of his career is terrible for his development. With the new signings (maybe Willian stays too) and the way Pulisic is playing I don't see how he gets much gametime next season. He should go out on a loan.

He will get plenty of time we play a hell of a lot of games and he will need to show more of what he did coming off the bench at Norwich, thats what was lacking the last few times he came off the subs. If he does that he will be able to prove he can be a starter again.
July 16, 20206 yr Just re-watched the Ajax highlights from this season. Came on at 4-1 down and changed the game. Started the move for Azpi's goal then won us the penalty that resulted in Ajax's red cards. Class player, hope he starts against Utd.

July 19, 20205 yr Needs a loan move his attitude when he comes on was not professional at all didn't look interested gave away a absolutely silly penalty simply because he lacked concentration if that's was Alonso, Jorginho or Willian the abuse they would of gotten. CHO should look at Pedro a player leaving but shows more than him absolute professional and class act.
July 19, 20205 yr He gets a free pass this season from me given his injury but next season, he really needs to start showing more in the pitch.
July 19, 20205 yr I'll give him some benefit of doubt as well as RLC seems to be improving game by game as he returns, he too as taking it easy in the first few games. Reece was shocking when he came back and he wasn't even injured, today he's back to normal service. At least the dribbling from CHO today was good and he created his own chance to score, I do hope it's not an attitude problem but we shall see.

He almost scored when he and Tammy made the whole ManU look lost out there.

It's unfortunate for CHO that all our games are so important so Lamps can't risk any gambles, otherwise I'm sure CHO would be getting more minutes. The talent is clearly there but he is rusty and needs game time but he doesn't do himself any favours with his body language at times.
July 19, 20205 yr re the body languge. Chris Waddle used to lope around the pitch at times. Glen Hoddle and Matt le tissier were not exactly renowned for their hard work. Platini could be seen standing with his hands on his hips while Giresse and Tigana did the donkey work. Next season, if CHO starts scoring and creating nobody will give a toss about his body language.
July 19, 20205 yr I understand hes not getting game time but that doesn't excuse the basics just the basics. With our new signings I don't see him breaking into the team as a starting player super sub yes starting no.
July 19, 20205 yr No intensity at all when he came on, it just felt like he was in autopilot. Did you see how Pedro ran all the way back to reclaim the ball off Bruno when United had us under pressure in the last few minutes? When you come on as a winger in a game where you're 3-0 up, you at least spend your energy working hard and helping out your teammates until the clock runs down. Really poor attitude. It might come across harsh but his attitude really pissed me off, and on top of that made the most clumsy challenge in the box, all he had to do was show Martial on to his left and just not let him cut inside. We all know Callum doesn't have high work rate, and we can completely forgive that, we rely on him to create and score goals. But in that situation, he has to show more intensity.
July 19, 20205 yr I hope the money has not gone to his head. If his rumored wages of more 100K a week are true, we may have made a big mistake (and now Tammy and others will justifiably be demanding a similar wage based on performance). Sure, Bayern were sniffing around at the time but such wages for young players who have accomplished nothing can have a detrimental effect. Hopefully he gets his head down and fights for his place, because these performances are unacceptable. .

If he came on with the wrong attitude he wouldn't have been helping defending in our own box in the first place. Not to mention before that admittedly horror miss he made an absolute mug out of Matic.

He's accomplished nothing so far to be mentioned next to them. He's a kid with potential who's yet to prove he deserves the big contract he's currently got. He needs to work his ass off both in traning and matches and use every opportunity to earn more playing time. I'm getting sick and tired of hearing non stop how young he is or how he's still recovering from an injury. If you're good enough, you're old enough. He's clearly not good enough at this point in time to be an asset at a top PL club like Chelsea. Next season the competition for places will get even tougher, what is he going to do then? Needs a loan somewhere where they bring him back to Earth and teach him some basics and instill a hard work ethic. If he's suddenly going to turn into a Ronaldinho circa 2006, I can live with him not tracking back. Until then a good kick up the arse and some dose of reality is what's needed. July 19, 20205 yr Let's face the reality. This guy is not going to be a starter next season for sure. Maybe the season after that. Do you really want a guy with such attitude to come of the bench and screw big time?

Certainly not comparing CHO to those players. Just saying those very talanted players (Platini being a truly great player) were not exactly renowned for their hard work, but nobody cared because they consistently produced the goods. Same will happen with CHO if he does it. Edited July 19, 20205 yr by Dixon

July 19, 20205 yr I think he needs a loan next season! Send him to the Bundesliga to get match experience. Maybe including a loan deal for Havertz?
