Next Chelsea Manager

  1. 1. Here are the current favorites with Conte included. Jody Morris is in there as he is the current youth team manager, and promoting from within seems to have worked for Barca, so why not us?!

Lemar is heading to Atletico. There was interest from our side, but because of manager mistiness he is chosen Atletico ... So some people still think that doesnt hurt us ?

Out of curiosity i've checked your posting history because i swear you only show up during bad moment. It's emerged you didn't post once during our good run of wins in September, only to return after our first defeat in that time. Then you didn't post once during late November and all of December, by coincidence that happened to be our best spell off form all season and few dodgy results early January and like magic you returned.

I try and give people the benefit of the doubt but you are making it very difficult.

Funnily enough several weeks ago, I believe it was @yorkleyblue who came to the same conclusion, that @brakeit only posted after a loss.

Unfortunately last season we lost more than most other seasons, so it has been painful to say the least. :redcard:

And what is your point?

It`s fun that you are doing a reasearch about me. I have to do something to some of you badly, to waste time with me ....

You can come here and say i`m pumping hate towards the team or the manager and come only after loses, but guess what i always support our manager, no matter what hes name is. And if you read my post i barely post how bad our player is for example.

Not a single bad word from me towards the manager, and i don`t give a s*** what hes name is. I just support him.

And i was here after the final to congratz, but the main thing is some of you, that even think we will lose the final before it`s even start, where in a mouse hole after it !!!

And for the Lemar and Chelsea i can paste you plenty, but it`s on my language, cause i`m bulgarian.

And that is in the news here. As well we are going to miss the Jean Seri for the same reason.

And you have to be completely blind to see how the board ****** hard and doing s*** after sh***.

It took less than a minute to work out you went AWOL during our best spells of form last season.

Lemar is a Left Midfielder and costs 60m. Why would we spend 60m to eventually bench him?

Napoli clearly have overplayed their hand.

From being Billy big ones they are slowly but surely retreating from that stance.

I keep reading that there is a agreement in principle in place and  now I am starting to read that once we get past 1 July Napoli will find themselves in a position whereby they become duty bound to honour a full years salary. If that’s correct it sort of explains the something of their approach.

The 1st of July is a key date in football contract terms, it’s the date on which all player contracts  start their annual cycle and indeed it seems that the contracts of the majority of managers and indeed head coaches have the same annual cycle, the main difference  between employment rights for managers/ coaches and players is that it’s incredibly rare that a player is sacked mid contract.

We all know that far too many mistakes were made last season in term of player recruitment at Chelsea  but just because we haven’t been told what’s going on behind closed doors it doesn’t mean that the club aren’t pushing forward with plans.

Perhaps I am being far too optimistic but I can’t help but feel that at this point it’s more about brinkmanship and whilst it is frustrating I genuinely believe that once Contes position is sorted then other things will fall into place.

To date very little transfer business has been done by PL clubs. In total just 22 transfers in have been completed. Of that number 9 have been completed  by Brighton, Huddersfield and Wolves and in that 22  around half are Bosman transfers or clubs taking up the option to sign players on a permanent basis following periods on loan.

NEWS FLASH: BULGARIAN NEWS AGENCIES KNOWS EVERY FACT ABOUT ENGLISH FOOTBALL TEAMS.

I don't understand why/how some people think that we have some divine right to players and if we miss out on them it is the boards fault????

Players are allowed to turn us down and choose other teams. If Seri joins Napoli that's his choice. Lemar has apparently joined Atletico over us which isn't a surprise as they're in the Champions league.

We aren't the mega club we used to be and can get who we want in the market anymore.

You must be ghoulams agent

I’m a fan of Napoli. I saw all Ghoulam’s matches of last five years. Your next coach (Sarri) defined him the best leftback in Europe. Anyway, if you sign Sarri, you’ll have a new supporter.

Very good point that gets lost in the Conte vs board saga. They may have attempted to buy certain big name players but the theme was that none of them really wanted to join Conte at Chelsea. Vidal and Sandro didn't seem all that interested in reuniting with him. Bonucci didn't want to leave Italy. Legend that he is Drogba was probably in Lukaku's ear about how great Jose could make him.

In those cases there's nothing the board can do. Money isn't the sole factor in signing players who are already rich and seemingly happy where they are.

This was also something I worried about toward the end of last summer. Usually a manager lures a former player or two with him to his new job. None of Contes former players seemed too interested in making the jump bar Morata who had had a tenuous link with him in the first place. That relationship with players can't be helpful.

Gianfranco Zola will join Maurizio Sarri at Chelsea as his assistant, claims Gazzetta dello Sport, who also say that Sarri is ‘very close’ (again) to joining Chelsea.

• ADL will allow Maurizio Sarri to join Chelsea for a minimal fee if they promise not to poach players from Napoli without their consent (SportItalia)

• Chelsea were always waiting for replacement before releasing Conte.

Further updates...

• Napoli close to signing midfielder Fabian Ruiz.

• They’re not believed to want Jean Seri as well (SportItalia), leaving the door open for premier league (Chelsea/Arsenal) interest.

I had a dream about this last night, which I think wraps up any confusion about what's going on.

Me and the players were sat down in a room with Antonio Conte and he announced to us all that next season we would be run by Sarri. Some of the players didn't want him to go, and he got a round of applause. Then Sarri came in with an interpretor, as he didn't speak any English. I have no idea if in my dreams I can speak fluent Italian or if it was just gibberish, but it certainly wasn't English, anyway.

So hope that clears up the situation for everyone.

Is this the same Simon Phillips who has been saying for weeks "Sarri is a done deal, to be announced very very soon"?

I'm sure if I keep saying the same bollocks over and over again for weeks, eventually I might get something right.

It doesn’t and after the Bakayoko debacle I would be wary of paying big money for any Monaco player. My opinion is that just like Liverpool players, their players are system players.

Last season after scoring 9 goals & 10 assists they rejected offers from Arsenal who wanted him as a replacement for Suarez and demanded €100m. This season he hasn’t been able to match those numbers, I think he has 2 goals all season. Atletico are welcome to him, and like has been pointed out he plays on the left.

If he was a Red Indian his name would be Greycloud.

He reminds me quite a bit of Eeyore the donkey in Winnie the Pooh.

I suppose that might explain the strange sexual turn the dream took after that.

But we should be. We’ve had every chance to establish ourselves as the undisputed top dog in England the last few years but we have squandered every opportunity we got.

We screwed ourselves with horrendous transfer business instead after winning the league instead of continuing to build on a top side that with a few additions/pieces could have retained the league title and gotten far in Europe.

Instead of that we are now far behind the best teams in England, playing in Europa League and have a lackluster squad. It’s been a massive fall from grace that shouldn’t have been allowed to happen.

He probably would have preferred us not winning the FA Cup because "it makes us like Arsenal", and winning the CL "just papers over the cracks".

Never seen such a constant stream of negativity.
