February 26, 20224 yr Sweden have joined Poland in refusing to play any match against Russia. Likely the Czech Rep do the same. Leaves Fifa with little choice but to expel Russia imo.

February 26, 20224 yr All I wanna know is are we likely to be f**ked or not? When I say f**ked I mean becoming a club on the level of Spurs instead of challenging City. Edited February 26, 20224 yr by KonaKai Blue

February 26, 20224 yr Statement from Club Owner Roman Abramovich During my nearly 20-year ownership of Chelsea FC, I have always viewed my role as a custodian of the Club, whose job it is ensuring that we are as successful as we can be today, as well as build for the future, while also playing a positive role in our communities. I have always taken decisions with the Club’s best interest at heart. I remain committed to these values. That is why I am today giving trustees of Chelsea’s charitable Foundation the stewardship and care of Chelsea FC. I believe that currently they are in the best position to look after the interests of the Club, players, staff, and fans.

February 26, 20224 yr Credit to lolzor on reddit... Per charity register there are 6 trustees as follows John Richard Devine Paul Ramos Piara Powar Emma Hayes Sir Hugh Michael Robertson MP Bruce Michael Buck (Also a trustee of The Chelsea Players' Trust) Chelsea Charitable Foundation does the following "Chelsea FC Foundation is the official charity affiliated to and supported by Chelsea Football Club, providing (i) sports coaching and facilities for participation in football, other healthy sports and recreation; (ii) educational services, including social inclusion and anti-racism projects; (iii) support for other charitable initiatives, including the environment and welfare of children."
February 26, 20224 yr If he were to sell, it could be anyone buying the club. Could be an American, Chinese, Saudi, who knows. I doubt it will be British owned.
February 26, 20224 yr It means he still owns the club but won’t be running it on a day to day basis anymore he’s transferred that responsibility to take himself out of the equation because he loves the club and at this moment in time he’s doing what he thinks is best to protect and stabilize it imo.
February 26, 20224 yr His move shows that he loves the club. Well played Roman, like this the club will survive for sure, they won't be able to legally shut us down.

I'd say the foundations at Chelsea have been built, but will the current board remain, especially Marina, seeing as she came to the club because she was close to Roman.
February 26, 20224 yr Isn’t this just a preemptive strategy to give the illusion that he no longer is involved

He might get a bit trigger happy with the managers but it’s normally for the best in the end. Great owner who’s only done what he see’s is best for the club.
