Cant believe we are still fourth, at least others are struggling. We are so far off the pace with City its unreal.

We've been sh*te against teams in the top half this season ... current record is won 4 drawn 4 lost 7, scored 15 and conceded 25 ... 16 points ... which is 6 less than even United of the teams around us.

Let's hope for the last 3 games we can pull three rabbits out of the hat ...

Either win the next 3 domestic games, or the next 3 European games, and were back in the CL. Two bites at it, it's in our hands on both fronts, we cannot afford to fail, the club and Roman know it, Sarri knows it, we all know it.

In the past when we had some players with bottle and commitment I would expect us to do just that, now i don't think we will. Hopefully i'm wrong.

I would love to be more confident, but we look as likely to drop points as arsenal and United at the moment. 

I cant see us winning all 3, but then I cant see arsenal doing it either. 

Hopefully Leicester do us a favour against them on Sunday, then we could get away with a draw at old Trafford. 

Last game of the season with us and arsenal both having tricky away games, it could all change aswell. 

Ideal scenario would be for arsenal to lose away against Leicester and us to beat United, meaning we can secure 4th with a win at home to Watford. 

The only thing that gives me confidence is other teams, not our own team. 

With the way we are playing, I have no confidence going into the United game no matter how bad they are.

The only challenging games Utd have coming up are us and Huddersfield away. However, Huddersfield are down already so I don't see Utd dropping points vs them. The game on Sunday is definitely a must win or at worst, a draw. We cannot afford to lose that game. Arsenal have two potentially tricky games against Leicester away and Burnley away so they may drop points there. However, the next three games are really must wins for us. I hope the players are motivated to win them. They bloody well should be motivated. We are in pole position right now for qualifying for CL. Come on! I would also like to see Sarri win a trophy with us too though, so hoping we can win the EL.

You have to go back to last august for the last time we picked up 9 points with away/home/ away fixtures.

Huddersfield, arsenal, newcastle..

I think we will get 5 points max.

'We cannot afford to fail' is long gone from our club. With JT, Essien, Lampard, Ballack, Cole gone we only have players like Azpi who really has that attitude. Sarri doesn’t have that attitude. I think you can't force anything but that last 5% come from digging deep at this stage of the season. Maybe the club should officially tell players they get 100k and a new Audi if they quality to CL. They might already have such a perk but it should be official and known by people. 

I think Sarri needs to make these last games a small project where CL is the goal. Do something, show something. Change small things to achieve this. 

Maybe they do all this already, who knows. 

For once we have had time to prepare a game so we really need to step up against one of our competitors that have been under pressure in the last week. This for me makes it a big match for Sarri, a point would be disappointing, a loss damaging to his long term prospects. 

We may win out with the next three games, then watch Arsenal win the Europa League......

The last two games that happened we were beaten by Arsenal & City. I remember it was built up loads that we'd had the week to prepare and the players just threw it out of the window.

Edit: We had a week before the Cardiff game but weren't we naff in that as well?

I was thinking more of the Liverpool away match 3 days after Prague away. Arsenal and City were some time back and hopefully we have progressed somewhat.

No excuses with Cardiff.

Had a feeling Spurs were going to slip up! We can still get 3rd if we finish strong. ?

Arsenal down to 10 men at the 36’ mark.  Leicester were dominating them already, so they should win this.

The league route looks that bit easier right now but could never turn down the chance to win silverware.

Leicester go a goal up, let's hope they get a second too.

We are so lucky. Others throwing away their points and we even can catch Tottenham now. 

Just goes to show how insanely far away from everyone else City and Liverpool are. The rest of the league is absolute dogsh*t and 3rd and 4th will just be the least sh*t of them.

its worrying, somebody needs to step up and challenge for the top, can not just rely on city to keep the scouse off top spot next season as well

It’s very difficult to disagree with that. We and the other sides desperately trying to avoid finishing 3rd and 4th are probably 500 million pounds worth of signings away from the top two, especially City. A 22 to 25 point gap isn’t made up by a full pre season for a coach or adding a couple of academy players to your squad. And it’s not like City or Liverpool will stand still.

Maybe it’s just a case of treading water until City’s owners go Roman and then hopefully being able to compete for the title again.

Last season it was all about how City are superior to the rest now it's City/Liverpool. Pep has raised the bar to the level of late 90's points are needed for the title.

The reality is Liverpool rose to the challenge of taking on a side like City and did what was needed in terms of the market and Klopp's adjustments and the rest haven't.

I just feel we wont. We are not playing well enough to win back to back. I still feel we will not make the CL via Prem. Tottenham especially is a couple of seasons ahead us in many ways. We have a great squad but otherwise we are a work in progress.
