Mason Mount

Looks like Mount is well aware of the current narrative regarding him, he should take himself off social media, go off the grid and focus on his game.

This is sad to see, if hes blocking random twitter accounts who have some sort of following, it shows hes seeing the hate and its getting to him and that cant be helping.

He needs to ignore the noise as you said, come off socials and focus on his game. Twitter is toxic at the best of times, and the rubbish on there is shocking, even if i agree he needs to be dropped and fast until he regains form.

It’s not wrong though. It’s a hard truth that mount needs to take on board rather then blocking randos

The comments on his top post. He doesn't want to be reading those.

They are harsh

When Abramovic took over the performances of Lampard and Terry all went up. They were the first on the training ground and survived to see out all the arrivals of supposedly new and better players.

Do Mount, Havertz and Gallagher not realise that if they don't step up then they will just be replaced?

I doubt that they do the extra hours on the training ground or arrive to training early.

At the moment I wouldn't let none of them near the first team.

When you've got to this point of just making sh*t up you need to take a look at yourself.

hope we sell him

he is not good enough

Yes, lets sell most of the older players who have helped Chelsea win so many awards including the CL. This narrative is soo wrong. Could it possible that these same players are struggling with the coach? Would the new players be good enough to win the club trophies like the old players?

Looks bereft of all confidence.. each game has flashes of brilliance but otherwise  below average performance. Just not happening for him and a bunch of other players.

It's a ridiculous claim. Just earlier this season he ran rings around Tottenham, under a competent coach of course. Towards the end of last season he did the same to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu and many other games.

Potter may actually contribute to Mount leaving the club though as he's getting zero out of him. For every poor performance Mount will be closer to the exit door as his contract is running out and the owners won't exactly be encouraged to up their offer the way he's playing. I'd love to see a lot of patience left for Graham if that happens....

That guy is meant to be a Chelsea fan, and he’s putting out tweets like that?

That place is mental!

And even more incredibly he doesn't understand why Mount blocked him LOL. What an absolute bell end he must be. A total waste of a sperm and an egg ... 🙂

The issue with Mount is that I reckon you can't name any other matches than those two. His form has been horrendous and needs replacing, and every time Potter has made the decision to bench a player, our form has significantly improved. Potter replaced Mendy with Kepa, replaced Koulibaly with Badiashile, and replaced Jorginho with Enzo, and now we already look a far better side until the ball gets to the attackers, where both Mount and Havertz drown the minutes.

Our form has been equally as poor with Tuchel since August. Tuchel did his best to bring out the team's strengths whilst at the same time hide its massive flaws, and it run its course unfortunately.

How in the world have our form significantly improved? 2 wins in our last 12 league games mate, if that's improvement i'm Mother Theresa.

Since that minor bounce to begin with (that included a lottery win v Villa) we are at about 1 point a game on average. Or relegation form as it's also called. And with a squad that's jam packed with European Champions. Manager is the problem here, not Mount.

Nice of you to crop out the actual point of my argument.

Kepa replacing Mendy has improved the team.

Badiashile replacing Koulibaly has improved the team

Enzo replacing Jorginho will undoubtedly improve the team.

We've improved very well defensively but things get utterly horrific once the ball gets to the attack.

Another media leak from his team saying the contract offer is below his demands, & needs to in line with top earners. Can’t remember a player playing this poorly during a contract negotiation, usually they tend to outperform their normal metrics.

Not sure I buy into this argument that Potter is responsible for his poor performances. The manager has said Mount requested to be played as a 10 which he feels is his ideal role. Didn’t Willian have his best season ever under an average season by Lamps when he was trying earn a new contract? This is 3rd consecutive game where Mount hasn’t completed a take on.

The fatigue argument doesn’t hold much weight, Saka has played more minutes than him in the last 2 seasons coming off the back of racial abuse after the Euros. That hasn’t stopped him from putting up top performances.

But it has not. That's my point.

We got more points and we were generally better when Mendy played under Tuchel. Potter comes in and Kepa plays well but as a team we aren't better.
If anything Kepa looks better because he's got so much to do because we are sh*t as a team.

Did I imagine Mendy making individual errors against Real Madrid, Leeds, West Ham, Saints, and looking no where near his shot stopping best since 2021? This was all under Tuchel. It's looking likely Mendy's best form was a purple patch. Maybe that's why he hasn't played top division football until his late 20's?

As of now, I am feeling way more calm when the defence has the ball/defending the ball as opposed to when Mendy and Koulibaly were in the side.

Hard to hate on Mase, he is a top guy and Chelsea through and through, but unfortunately for him this club is moving into a direction that frankly does not correspond to what he can offer.

It's clear for all of us to see that Chelsea is slowly moving towards a 4231 and where does Mount fit in all this? What is his actual position? To me he is best suited for an inside forward in a 343. But there is no inside forward in 4231 though. He is not a winger, an average no. 10 and definitely can't play in the pivot.

He's become a luxury player and as much as I'd like to see him impose himself in the first eleven, I just can't see it happening. Would be a top player to have on the bench, but I am sure he would not accept that unfortunately.

If he's asking for too much then let him go. Nice guy but his performances in recent months haven't warranted a massive contract.
