No muscle or drive in midfield; no one wants to shoot when they have a chance to do so; predictable football when you saw the team, any opposing manager worth his salt could defend that all f**king day; If Plan A doesn't work Frank has no Plan B in his pocket and scared to death to make changes unless he is forced to.  For an attacking midfielder who loved to get in the box and score he sure doesn't play that way.   He hasn't got a 'team' right just a bunch of individuals who seemingly all have hit brick walls at the same time...God help us against City is all I can say...

We have much better squad depth than they do. No excuses there. Villa have been very good but if we are really saying that after spending all that money and the depth we have that we "did not have this and that player" then that is concerning.

I think Christensen is the replacement of Silva and Rudiger for Zouma, if Zouma played I am pretty sure Christensen would've played alongside him.

Christensen cost us the game plain simple. What a big baby... I have no idea why lampard keeps on giving him opportunities he should just be sold. How he starts over Tomori baffles me.

There is inconsistency and then there is relegation form. It's happening to us a few times every season now and I'm bored of it. It's hard to get excited about a team when you know they are eventually going to go on a run of form like this. We don't pick ourselves up after a poor result, we just capitulate.

Mate we haven’t played well most of the season, these run of results have been coming, we’ve battered a couple of relegation fodder teams but anyone above mid table we’ve been shocking. Even tonight we tried to be boring to get a result and we got out worked by a team that barely stayed up last year.

It was fine last season when our squad consisted of youth players and players who had been at the club for a long time but he’s got a new squad of top players and he’s in way over his head. We need a top manager in urgently before this season is a write off.

How's that an excuse? When we were missing 3 wingers fair enough. But we've got 2 back now, if we can't win games without Ziyech then we truly are hopeless and the cracks were being papered over to begin with. 

Every team in this league has players missing.

I think a loan agreement has been made for Tomori so I don't think the club want to risk him picking up an injury.

I assume Zouma must have had a knock as he was missing completely. Would have preferred Tomori and Rudiger if we needed to change both centre backs.

I don't understand how he still has a role to play for us, he's clearly not good enough. He spent most of his career here being this hope and now he's just a lame backup that no other team in the league would want to have. If we need a win why does Lampard risk so much by playing him, he was never a good defender.

I would happily finish 6th this season if it means a repeat from 2012 and we get to kick spurs out of CL next season

Another slow, insipid and uninspired showing. We really look clueless going forward.

As a team we have forgotten how to play a penetrating forward pass. At least 3 times in his 20 min cameo, Werner came deep, spun and made a quick run towards goal, just begging to be played in. Mount, Kante and CHO who had the ball, all failed to spot the run, and instead held the ball to long (CHO) or sideways/back passed it (Mount/Kante).

It is so frustrating.

No vision, little quality, and no cutting edge. Simply happy to knock it out wide, recycle and eventually lose the ball or cross it aimlessly.

 

We are boring slow don’t move the ball with any purpose just get it down and cross cross cross people said Sarri was boring but he had a plan and idea of how to move the ball and open up teams create triangles to pull team’s out of position I have zero idea what the idea or identity we are trying to achieve here.

We've had Barkley playing like Zidane at times, Barkleys biggest challenge is consistency not the one off good performance.
